As a teacher I can tell which kids are still breastfed because they have the absolute emotionally hardest time being in the classroom away from their moms. They are distressed and distraught. It doesn't even resolve until the moms stop breastfeeding them.

Never knew it was an issue in America. In brazil is the oposite, people "shame" mums that are giving children formula😢 like if it was a choice.😢 some mums cant do it and feel like a failure.

I love this! Currently nursing my 2 year old and 30 weeks pregnant with my third baby girl. Biologically normal, and since my body is getting the nutrition to do both, why not?!

Sorry you can come at me, but once they have teeth and can pick up a fork, it's done. I remember when my kids where in elementary school, a kid came off stage so his mom could breastfeed him. No not ok!!

Yes, I feel she and I both are way safer and healthier bed sharing. I did the same with my first two until they were older, but with my third it just felt natural to keep her in the bed with me.

I had not watched a short from you in a bit, so I didn’t realize you were expecting. I just wanted to wish you the very best pregnancy journey, birth and beyond. I wish I would have had a resource like this twenty nine years ago, as I struggled with multiple carriers and soothing my high needs baby girl who needed to be in my arms unless I was at work. Thank you for being out there and continuing to create content for the mamas of the 2020’s. Surprisingly, the need for expert advice about baby wearing is still very relevant, maybe more so, in light of all the options and the very real potential for someone doing it wrong and endangering their baby.

My daughter breastfed until my period started up again around 10 months. She went from nursing 4-5 times a day to once in the morning for 5 minutes for 5 days then not at all. I was not prepared for how miserable i would feel from the lack of bonding hormones. I imagine it was like withdrawing from a drug. It took me 3 periods to feel myself again. None of my family or friends breastfed so I had zero heads up or anyone who understood what I was talking (crying) about. Even with the miserable ending to breastfeeding (for me, baby girl loved her food and was very content) I would choose to breastfeed again if I was blessed with another baby. Such a precious experience 💕

Breastfeeding is biologically necessary, appropriate, instinctive, and mutually beneficial since-- always. People should be asking: WHEN did it stop being these things?? A: It didn't. But the propaganda to influence society AGAINST it is coincidentally tied to $$$, sexualization of women, & devaluing mothers & motherhood. And this is how something for good (helping mothers who had trouble nursing) can be wielded for evil. P.s. goat's milk was already a good replacement.

They reckon the Israelites breastfed their kids until they were 2/3 (think of Samuel in the Bible). But my personal take on it, is that if they can use words to ask, they're too old 😆 but good on you. Better to BF

🥹 I'm honestly really looking forward to these moments with our new little girl. I didn't discover the joy of woven wraps until my second (and not until she was a toddler!) But, they've been one of the most incredible things for me. It forces you to show down, concentrate and learn a new skill when you start. This can be really frustrating at first- but if you give in to the slowness and take some time for you and your baby, it can become really special. I love the art of it, I love the adjustability, the simplicity. I always hope everyone finds that item that makes them feel that way when they have their baby. That piece that makes them feel a little more connected to their child (and that might not be babywearing related at all or even a physical item (maybe it's co- sleeping for you.)) @didymos_babywearing prima woven size 3. I once read a post where a mom said she was actively guilting her toddler son to continue breastfeeding after he'd repeatedly refused and said NO. She would apparently cry and ask if he wants her boobs to hurt, tell him that he must not love her anymore. But it stopped working and he started refusing again and would now even bite her when she held him down. So instead of respecting that and letting it go, she went online and asked other moms how she could best force him to keep doing it??? I think he was like 2 at that point? Like, to me this is okayish within limits. I'm of the opinion that a child should never remember being breastfed. So if you're still nursing your 1.5 year old? Meh, okay I guess. But if it gets to the point where you're trying to nurse your speaking child who is telling you no and showing signs of discomfort? That's sexual abuse in my eyes, plain and simple

I would not want to fight you omfg. STRONG MOM. honestly, as I carried my son in front of me or on the back I struggled with my strength so much! I could only carry him like that for about half an hour and my whole body was worn and without energy. I don't know how your hiking with multiple children, one in a carrier and all of your stuff😮

I think the AAP has recently updated and is now advising for moms who can, breastfeeding for 2 years of age is recommended. I go back to work soon and I am so nervous my son will stop nursing when I am home :/ I have been building a stash for a while now so he’ll have milk when I am not home and in case he quits nursing. He’s 7 months old next week! I hope to breastfeed him as long as he wants to before weaning at 2.

I saw an ad yesterday by them with your video. It's ridiculous, you can even plainly see the Hippie Joey tag. The ad had almost 4k likes 😪 i responded to a ton of the comments telling people about the stolen video and Hippie Joey. Hopefully some of them saw before that company blocked me. I did report their ad as well and I hope somehow i made a difference.

I thankfully read a book from anthropological researchers about American and african natives - breastfeeding their children usually until the age of 4. Some less, some more. So I let decide my children how long they wanted to get my milk (and closeness): 1.: 3,25 years 2.: 1,5 years 3.: 3 years 4.: 4,5 years The positive effect was that the had barely any infection until they didn't get breastmilk any more. There were a few odd comments by other people but I didn't care. I also fed my infants at my office, my boss supported that not only because that's my right here in Germany but also because he liked it to watch those little ones growing up so fast😅

Its so infuriating and sad to see people put babies in wraps the wrong way. It causes such discomfort and pain to the baby if their legs, hips, and back arent properly supported and aligned and people dont seem to care

Thank you, it's been really frustrating! Because they aren't US businesses, there isn't a lot to do legally It appears. And, they end up shutting down and starting up a new business anytime they finally get taking down or enough shared about them to reduce sales. I'm just hoping that enough of these videos will get out and cause parents to take a second look when things look too good to be true! Especially when it comes to items for their infants!
