I've watched many videos on How to Jon Hopkins - this is by far one of the best! The song is amazing!

Cool video! Really was looking for Vinil background track, and you also mentioned Air/Hiss, I would love to have listen to that separately. Also cool that you show Valhalla thingy filters, and other... filters on the mixer.

I am making a track but stuck in the arrangement of it ... could you explain how and what you thought of when you were arranging this one.
@BrendanPark072 ай бұрын
For the tutorials I usually just steal a reference track from the original artist and plop in at the top of the project. Then just introduce each of the same elements at the same time (kick, bass, pads etc) as well as the same structure (breakdown, drops, intro/outro length, build ups etc) Doing it that way is always a good way to start if your stuck. Then export your track and go for a walk listening back to the song in a place more out of context from your DAW. If things sounds 'off' then you can make notes and adjust after. If things don't sound noticeably wrong then you're probably on the right track

Mate - only seeing this. Your tutorials are seriously some of the best, most thorough and easy to follow on KZbin. Seriously sorry to hear this! Would you consider doing 1:1 tutorials? (I know some folk on here make good coin doing that...***COUGH COUGH***....GAVIN). Besides that, the very best of luck with your own music career. You're a legend!

Funny, I love these videos but I watch with my hands Infront of my face cos I kind of love the mystery of my favourite producers. Aphex twin has been that beautiful endless mystery to me since I was a teenager and still today!:)

Well if it helps, this isn't the process Burial himself would use when building his tracks, it's not even the same program. To many, myself included, his process will remain a mystery. This was merely my procedure and interpretation

Thank u for all the good knowledge you shared. I think its much more important for an artist to focus on his own growth as a creative. Maybe keep making videos about ur own songs. I think in this day and age pretty much every good channel that doesnt make meme-y videos get no attention. Good luck to you and thanks once more!
