Great video! I am feeling much like Desi these days. I can barely walk upright sometimes. My husband and I had an amazing camping vacation in Chicago! Yes, Chicago! Amazing camping! Our truck was a beast! Very thirsty, but we pulled that 2205s fully loaded through downtown Chicago and back! I am so grateful that we have you as friends. I hope we can get to the east coast and meet in person!

Lol - Troy never misses a breakfast burrito! We were so excited to see it. We didn't know that was a possibility - Troy thought he saw it first but couldn't get it on film. Then I was just filming the ducks and saw what I thought was a stick. I wasn't sure I even was able to get it on the phone until we got back to the camper and could look at it on the ipad. If you own a camper with leaf springs, get rid of it!! Get a camper with a torsion axle!! The ride quality is 1000 x better. My 2024 Geo pro19fb is heaver than my previous 2021 wildwood FSX 177bh. The ride quality is just amazing. I had to look back and make sure the camper was still attached. That's how smooth the ride was.

Trying to do the arm mod and pulled 2 screws off but it seems like its glued on now as well? or screwed in from the back? on a 2024 20FBS. Also that bottom cabinet in bathroom has a panel just to hide the water pump that only goes up halfway. Going to cut that down to stick toilet paper holder inside that door and maybe basket shelf.

Awesome video! I just bought the Rubicon 1608rb, and that's how I found your channel. The Rubicon has a terrible Jack knife sofa, too, and I was actually thinking about replacing it altogether with a Futon. Have you heard of this being done? I'm just curious if it's possible and how hard it would be to do.
@WinesPinesandCanines10 күн бұрын
Hi! Thank you and thanks for the watch! Yes - haven't met a jack knife sofa that was comfortable yet lol. We had one in our previous class c as well. So we haven't seen anyone replace with a futon but have seen others that have taken it out completely and put a twin size mattress for the bottom and then foam or cusions for the back. We like the sofa look of it so these mods made enough of a difference that we didn't remove it. And we don't sleep on it which is another reason that the twin mattress might work better for others. Since this video though, we have replaced the cushions in the seat (video upcoming) and it is quite a bit more comfortable now. How are you liking the Rubicon?

Thumbs down on the counter. One of the selling features for me was the 3 burner cook top and gas oven, but i did remove the microwave, who uses a microwave while camping. Not to mention the extra weight, it must be a lot heavier.

Hi - thanks for the watch! And it is always funny how everyone uses their camper differently :) We never used the stove top but we use our convection microwave quite a bit! We do almost all of our cooking outside though. Great Video! Welcome to a world of plastics. I like your solution to this problem, but I wonder if the plastic surround will become brittle over time. It would be interesting to know what the surround replacement would cost. Another place to watch out for is the skylight material........they also become discolored, brittle..........and they crack creating a leak.
@WinesPinesandCanines24 күн бұрын
Thank you! And yes - we had an older class c as our first rv and definitely saw that yellowing before lol. And that is something we thought of (brittle). Didn't see any deterioration but if we do over and over again - might be a different story. We did look into replacing and looks to be in the $300-$400 range but finding the exact replacement may require us to go through a dealer which would likely add to the cost. And agree on the skylight - we had a video a few months ago on the inner dome separating so had to do a quick fix to reapply but luckily it was in very good shape otherwise. Thanks for the watch - appreciate!
@stuartstuart86625 күн бұрын
I have seen this done by others, but they used a UV light. Good to know the added expense isn’t a necessity. I wonder if coating the inside of the shower with a plastic/rubber protectant would shield the surface?

Really like your videos, I've gotten several ideas from them. This is probably over kill for what this video is, but I got tired of the sun light coming through my skylight and having to check and repair the roof every year so I had Flex Armor sprayed on my roof last year. In doing so I had them spray over the skylight which blacks it out completely and keeps the heat out and I don't have the worry about resealing the roof and everything up there every year just go up and wash the roof off to keep it clean. They also have a led light which can be installed in the skylight if you want more light in that area. Just something I decided on which I really think pays for itself in the on term.
@WinesPinesandCanines26 күн бұрын
Thank you - very much appreciated! And have looked into that -Flex Armor - seems like a great option to not have to mess with the roof. How has it been holding up? Did you have trouble finding someone to do?

@@WinesPinesandCanines My husband and I love our 19FD and the Murphy bed is a must for getting the most out of a small space because we have a bed, couch & dinette. I was jealous of your ‘king’ mod so I created a unique mod on our Murphy that gives us wall to wall bed space when In the down position. We call it ‘making the nest’ before bed and it is very comfortable and cozy. One of these days I’ll post about it on Facebook. Your 19FBS is actually my favorite floor plan of the Geo’s because of the full queen bed and couch, but I am slide adverse 😊.
