Hi! We did :). Although we just celebrated a delayed Christmas with the family so we are a month behind haha. Desi loves Christmas as he gets to open multiple gifts. He is very adept at knowing exactly what ones are his lol. We are grateful that we had another one with him and are hoping for more! Hope you guys had a good holiday as well! Oh demo - when you realize there is no going back lol. I have found it is best to plan, plan, plan and then take a deep breath and jump right in! But, also this one, we could put it all back together in about 2 hours so while it is a big change, we aren’t changing anything forever - so it makes it easier! Thanks for the watch - appreciate all the support!

Hi Kate! Hope all is well in the cold North! How is the FD working out? Hopefully you were able to get out some last summer? We had a trip planned to the area last year and it just didn’t happen for a variety of reasons. Hoping maybe this year if Desi is well enough! Thanks for the watch!

Wife and I have a 2016 Jayco 174BH. I did the same as you'll and removed a two burner stove. Wife and I use a induction cooktop single element that we can either use inside or outside. When done cooking, wipe off and store away. Like you said, space is at a premium and you just find what works for you. Try cutting a 14"x 14" hole in your roof to add another Maxxair fan in your rig🥺. That's what I did and thankfully everything went as planned. Our windows do not open up at the bottom like yours, and we need another way to bring in air while overnighting without electricity when the rain was coming down and sometimes sideways soaking interior of rig. Now two Maxxair fans, one at rear in bathroom and one near bed in front with rain covers.
@WinesPinesandCanines
@WinesPinesandCanines Жыл бұрын
Hi - thanks for the watch! And yes - we also have an induction that is great. Being able to cook outside with consistent heat is great. And that is where we do most (almost all) of our cooking. Ok - we have always wished for a second vent fan over the bed. But not sure we would have the guts to do what you did!! Kudos!! And we are jealous. If we decided to go forward with this someday - any tips lol?

One burner stove is all I need. Who would need 3 in this camper? If it’s raining we might need to cook inside. I did add the counter extension piece like y’all did using a cutting board and the folding brackets. Backer boards made it solid. Couldn’t be happier. Great idea there. There is NO counter space otherwise. Looking forward to seeing the finished product.
@WinesPinesandCanines
@WinesPinesandCanines Жыл бұрын
Yep - could never understand why 3 burners are needed lol. And they were so small, you would have to have very small pans to get 3 on the stove! That counter extension is such an easy mod but really makes a difference in a small camper. Thanks for the watches - appreciate!!

Hi! So we took some time off for the holidays, family and Desi is not well so we were spending a bit of time at the vet - crazy how quickly time goes by! We are hoping to get back on a 2 week schedule moving forward. 2nd part is filmed so a few tweaks and should be ready soon! Realllllly like the 21FBRS - toured one not too long ago and really liked it. When we upgrade some day in the future, this one is at the top of the list. Curious to see if you find the same with the cabinets. Would be easy to take some drawers out and just put in corner braces so we thought would be helpful to show a few things we were seeing. Thank you for watching - appreciate!

If you ever take it in for service and they remove the counter or do anything to your propane lines, be sure to check for propane leaks. Open roads RV about blew me up by not tightening the propane connection to the stove. Thankfully I was testing everything getting ready for the season. Only lost some arm hair and scared the life out of me (luckily it was me so I knew to run turn off the propane tank - wife wouldn’t have known). That’s why you test things though! Never trust anyone to do their job these days is my advice. Check behind everyone. Especially the stuff that blows you up.

Hi Lee. Hope you and Cindy are doing well! So, have to say - this one was thought about for years lol. We never used the stove in our Class C either and thought about making the change since we bought the GeoPro. But, wanted to use it for awhile to make sure. But we are glad we did. And kept all the original parts so can go back together in about an hour or two! Desi is doing pretty good. Still himself although quieter and a little less active day by day. But, difficult to travel with him as of yet so having to adjust to short trips for now! Hoping this spring to get out on a longer trip. Hope you guys have some fun ones planned! Take care!

We are thankful he is still able to enjoy being with us and are trying to appreciate every day we have. Also - the colander was called Grundvatnett but it is discontinued. Hey Troy, quick question. How do you remove the drawers? I don’t see any latches. Thanks!
@WinesPinesandCanines
@WinesPinesandCanines Жыл бұрын
Hi Lee. So we changed out the guides in the kitchen a few years ago so trying to remember how they used to work lol. But there should be a small plastic lever like piece in the side of the guide that you will see when you pull the drawer out. Pushing that up or down should release them and you can pull the drawer right out. But, going to be at the camper in the next few days and still have the original guides on the one under the bed. Will take a quick video and email it to you.
@lelandplume6889

@@WinesPinesandCanines thanks Troy! But I figured it out. Someone on Facebook took out the drawer under the bed and changed it to a cupboard. Cindy loved the extra storage space so I got my marching orders and finished it yesterday. Now she’s shopping for baskets to fill up that space. Lol! I remember the video you made about using the space next to the fridge and that you opted not to do that. I’ve seen other videos where some folks have done it and that space would be great for outsized stuff like coats, broom/mop, shoes, etc. I’d love to do that. Just don’t have the nerve yet. I did add a slide topper this week. I think the benefits outweigh any negatives. No more trips up on the roof for clearing the leaves and such. Thanks for getting back to me. Keep in touch!
