After the worst four years of my life, the satisfying part is telling the alumni association no, when they try to induce you to make donations to your alma mater.

Thank you for your channel and videos! I have subscribed! I can resonate so much with your experiences especially growing up and navigating being Asian American and the nuanced struggles of that. It’s been really difficult to meet friends and people in my city who actually talk about these topics in such a deep way that you do and I love the style that this is like a video diary and reflection for you. Very inspiring and you don’t need to worry about the views. The content of you just reflecting on the lessons you have learned is already enough and incredibly impactful!

It might be serene and sweet for you. But no university should have skyscrapers on it. Much less a generic bland looking one like this building. Not to mention it’s a huge waste of space being only a couple stories tall and then I strangely put skyscraper in the center of it. All you have to do is look next-door at the Michelson Hall for a example of better use of the space and a historical reservation. As well as Michaelson has 190,000 ft.² far more than this building. USC has a great number of beautiful buildings, but there are a few like this one and Webb Tower that need to be taken down and rebuilt with something worthy of SC. Something with historical and classical significance that holds the essence of the university’s past with the hope for it’s future. Fight on!✌️

@DearYoungerMe

Hi Brenda! I don't quite remember exactly since this was from 5 years ago! But I think so. It definitely had just one bathroom and it has the Rooms labeled so I think it's the $6,220 option or the $6,515 option. I hope this helps!

I'm sorry to heart that :( I hope you're at a better place now. College isn't the best route for everyone. But also keep in mind, college through Zoom is super different than how it is in real life. And that may have played a part in how you felt about college

i’m researching college myths to make a video on the subject, and i cannot agree more with everything you said! in college i’ve learned that friends pass and i’m the only one who’s always going to be there for me, which may sound depressing, but it gives me comfort. i’ve also learned that the “perfect friend” doesn’t exist and i just need to show love to those around me, even if they’re not the people i expected to be friends with

Yes!! I think understanding everyone, including ourself, deserves to be loved takes away some of that loneliness too. And you really do attract people who are similar to you so be the type of person who you want to hang out with as well :)

I will be a junior next year and have not made one single new friend... literally not one. On top of that I do only have one friend from high school and she is great but of course she's made different friends and other obligations so it basically feels like I am alone. Everyone I know says "it's so easy to make friends" but I literally can't. I'm pretty sure I have a Social Anxiety Disorder but it's too much money to go to therapy or get medication or even tested for it. In the end it just sucks I am coming up on my third year with no new friends.
@DearYoungerMe
@DearYoungerMe 3 жыл бұрын
Lisa! Wow thanks for sharing all of that here. I'm so sorry to hear that you're going through this time of loneliness :( I know how hard it feels to be in the middle of it because it seems like nobody sees and cares for you. But maybe you can share this with that one close friend and see what she thinks? Sometimes people show they love us but we just aren't able to see they do. (someone asking how you're doing/texting you could be their way of reaching out but if we're stuck in a mindset of no one cares, we won't even be able to recognize their love!) Also try looking up free counseling sessions online? I know some places do it with student interns and with everything virtual nowadays, it'll hopefully remove that physical barrier. I don't know what to say except that you are loved!
