Are you still in Singapore and how much longer are you going to study at NUS? how often you come back to Seattle? what are you majoring and why you choose NUS?

Hi Jamie! This was such a helpful video! I'm considering going to NUS as an exchange student next year. You mentioned Utown is not restricted to graduate students, but I heard that a lot of undergraduate exchange students get placed into PGP residence. How likely do you think it is to end up in PGP if you only put Utown residences on the list? Thanks so much in advance, your answer would really help me with my decision :) Greetings from France!

Hi Lilly! I can't give you an answer based on stats. I'm not sure how housing works when it comes to exchange students. But i think it also depends on your school's relation with NUS? Because that determines when you choose your housing (my school gave me options that were all in Utown while I know some students from other schools only had options in PGPR) But I think if you have the option from the drop down menu of the housing portal, choose all utown as soon as you can and submit it so they don't run out of room. Hope this helps! :)

Hi! I'm planning on applying at NUS through my uni's exchange program and I was wondering what's the procedure for applying to residence? Are all exchange students guaranteed to have an accommodation in the residence? I read on NUS' website that there were a lot of applications and I'm worried that I would have to find a place to stay outside of campus. Thank you :)

Hi I was wondering if you felt like getting a room with AC would be worth it? Also, did you book flights to different countries once you arrived to NUS and made friends or did you do this before starting exchange??
@DearYoungerMe5 жыл бұрын
Hey Leena! I personally don't think so. But that's because i wanted to save money for my trips to other places. Singapore is really humid though so if you don't get AC it'll take some time to adjust. So it honestly depends on you! Flights to other SE asian countries are pretty cheap so don't worry about having to book before exchange. I usually booked them a month in advance so I booked it once I got to NUS :)

Hey Pramod! I didn't work when I was in Singapore and I heard that you need a worker visa to work officially. And for me, I couldn't have both the student and the work visa so I'm not sure about this process :(
