I’m an old man from New Orleans and I grew up in the 1950s. All the kids I played with wanted to grow up and be cowboys. Not the Hollywood version on TV but the working kind of cowboy. Riding horses on the wide open prairie on a cattle drive sounded like a great life. Yes, I know it’s a hard life sometimes but anything worth doing has to come with a price. This video is at least as close as I can get now and I am grateful to settle for it. Thanks for sharing your video and letting me dream a little.

I’m an old city man, 72 years old and I have always dreamed of being a cowboy and riding the country on horseback like this. This video is so beautiful and I would love to have done this when I was a young man. Thank you so much for sharing your video and making an old man’s dream come true if only on my computer.🙏✝️👍🥹

I’m 72 years old and I wanted to live like a cowboy. Not that Hollywood cowboy on TV. I read books about the cowboy on cattle drives, and life on a ranch and everything. I lived in the city and didn’t have the opportunity to be around horses but I always wanted to own a horse. THIS is the kind of cowboy I want to be. Thank you so much for sharing this video.🥹🐎

The smell of horses, stables and pine trees are on the top of my list for God's greatest comforts. I should have been born a couple of hundred years ago but alas a I'm a boomer, old enough to have known a quieter world but young enough for the technology. I miss riding through pine forests just me, my dog side kick, Jazzi and a wonderful little Arabian mare I called Petite Rouge, who was smart and steady no matter to trail. We did thousand of miles together and miss them both with a soul deep ache at times, but much remembered joy as well. Watching your ride I would gladly saddle up and get back out there on the trail. Thank you for sharing your adventures.

This looks really pretty the horses seem to be in their element as is the rider. However I was wondering what costs are involved for a trail ride like this what are the general expenses such as food for the horses and for the people ? thank you catch you later down the trail 😉

Enjoyed your video, Got to do a backcountry elk hunt with Carl, Etta was in camp that week. That lady is a tough cowgirl , enjoyed the stories she told in camp about trips she had been on in Alaska. It was my dream hunt, absolutely gorgeous country and it far exceeded my expectations. Your trip reminds of my hunt, thank you. I’m planning on going back, lords willing

I'm a little late. Just discovered this 5/31/24. Excellent videos! I thoroughly enjoyed all! A couple of times you mentioned how slow everything was growing back after the fire. I've heard those fires can get hot enough to sterilize the earth for 5-10 years afterward. I wonder if that might be what you guys were witnessing? Amazing footage! Thank you!

what a journey! I'm glad you explained some of the trails creation as I was wondering how in the world they were made & so dangerous! I sure would love to know what Alex's pack mule call was saying... lol I suspect in the beginning there was some sweet feed to get them running back to her so well. ;)

Thank you for sharing your amazing journey with us! I can recall the ancient feeling of the Yellowstone Park and that was the area the tourists visit. The one thing I noticed about this series is the lack of wildlife. Do you think it's because of the wildfires or because they can hear the mule trains long before you would see any? Thank you so much for posting ;) rides of a lifetime for sure!

This brings back memories from when I lived in Cody, and worked out of Meeteetse. I spend many days in that wilderness, packing in on horseback, fly fishing. I always saw moose where the Greybull River bottom was wide and full of willows. We even got up on the divide between the Wood and Greybull rivers in 1988 when it was dry and Yellowstone had that big fire. Wonderful country.
