My mountain (Rainier) calls to me all the time. Sometimes so strongly that I have to fight the urge to blow off responsibilities. But I'll tell you what, there is no better feeling in the mountains than on horseback. I truly miss that to my core. RIP to my Cowboy. Best horse I ever had the pleasure of riding. Beautiful Red Roan btw. Thanks for taking us along.

I did that trail with my Mom in September of 2021 and it was great. Thanks for the good cinematography and the good memories. It's neat to see how different the trail is in winter versus early fall.

I really appreciate the incredibly clear videography, your editing and content. Makes me feel as if I'm riding along with you. One suggestion or request. Would it be too much to ask for you to put the dates on these videos. I grew up in Colorado, big city kid, but I studied Botany at CSU and I try to estimate the month (early or late) from the plants but I sure would appreciate a set of dates to go along with the viewing. Back in 2003 I took a 10 day pack in and stay there on the Thorofare, about a mile from Bridger Lake. We left on the trailhead along the shore of Yellowstone Lake on July 4. Man, do your videos of your travels along the Thorofare, Bridger Lake and up to the headwaters of the Yellowstone, bring back good memories. We didn't go to Two Ocean's Pass but we did ride to the top of the Trident and go over to visit the cabin at Hawk's Rest and the one there on the edge of YNP. Oh, thanks for introducing me to Boulder Basin Outfitters, think I'll contact them and make a return trip up there. Keep up the great work. Been to the Flattops (backpacking back in the early 70's and over by Blanco Peak as well). You sure do bring back the memories. Happy New Year (2025)! Blessings, Tim

This trail is near Westcliffe Colorado quite a ways from Durango there are some great trails in southwestern Colorado to explore and that’s so far away
@ronnie325672 жыл бұрын
@@cowdogflicks thanks, I’ve been in that country many times, l lived in northern New Mexico for a few years and explored that area of the Sangre de Cristo mnts, for some reason I thought that you were in the southern San Juan’s that it is near Durango
@AndyTheCornbread2 жыл бұрын
Roger that was great! It's still too icy and snow packed to ride here. When you are on the horse is your GoPro 9 in a chest rig or on your hat or how is it set up? On your saddle bags it looks like you have a saddle blanket that goes under them that is longer than your pad. How do you have that setup so it doesn't slip around?
@cowdogflicks2 жыл бұрын
I keep my GoPro in my Palmer bags on the settlement. I use a small selfie stick by hand to take photos. About the saddle pad I use a wool blanket underneath my big pad so I don’t muddy up my good pads The horse sweats mud from all the dust here. come summer after the horse slicks off I need to remove that small pad. I like watching your videos and you go riding made a hole bunch of different people but I might be nosy , but I nodes your wife is never or not very often on your video. My question is, is she not in to riding horses or is she camera shy, and that is okay, but I was wondering why she is never part of your trips or she is the important person in the back ground who never get the credit but is the ressen you can do all that ?
