Does this gentleman say we're going to be real "lasting" a new pair of boots? Is this the new clique term for resoling?
@DougBeck-c2y2 күн бұрын
I have worn boots since I was a kid on our farm. Wear “dress” boots daily for my job and work boots occasionally. I own 3 pair of black, 4 brown, and 1 gray in various leathers, and 2 pair of work boots.

These "look here...these cheaper boots have cheaper materials...and now look here...these more expensive boots have more expensive materials" videos are growing boring and tiresome, really. Is a customer more satisfied, long-term and short-term) with rotating three pairs of $250 mid boots (say, a wheat/cordovan, black, & brown pair) OR just one pair of $750 boots? Maybe?

Follow railroad gang cutting old mainline railroad track with a torch. Spend 10-12 hours walking and cutting. Will take that thorogood boot. Not going to spend 700-1000 to potentially melt the soles depending on how close my foot is, to the cutting of steel or burning grass, as im cutting. Required to wear lace up steel toe boots in the company.

Found this video after purchasing my first pair of Tecovas boots for my dress blues. That’s about all they’re good for, dress. They are comfortable to wear throughout the day but they’ll get scuffed quickly if a dog steps on your toes, ask me how I know. They’re good-looking boots though and they seem well-made as the video suggests.

Find me a boot thats steel toe, gets 18 miles a day, warm in the winter, cool in the summer, takes a beating from kneeling, kicking heavy objects into place, good on metal stairs and latters, comfortable on concrete and gravel, can be waterproofed and clean up well from wet concrete, grease, oil etc ... Thorogood answers all that for me.

I love them, I bought them at the Tecovas Caimans at store in Dallas. They are my business boots, mostly office work. I use my old Danner ARMY combat boots to hunt. Cowboy boots just are not the technology for hunting, combat, or gripping rocks on long hikes. My Tecovas Caimans look and feel fantastic. I have had great luck with all boots made in Mexico and Texas, except for some suede ones which really should only be for dress I learned after uglifying them.
