Fair play. More here than the spoofers on huge salaries in the "Conservatory" of music. Should be closed down and spend the money on this type of programmes. Would change music in Ireland. The RIAM is enough but the other monolith is only jobs held over from the VEC days and the product coming out is limited and of questionable quality. Congrats to Brophy. Saw in in action in Pats conducting Britten's War Requiem. He knows his stuff.

So glad they got this recognition, and a chance to play again to audiences happy to see them back. The BBC doc was a good study of a great band who never quite made it. Back in the day I payed “The Clock..” to death, but it felt like a secret world. If I tried playing it to someone else, they’d invariably just look blankly back and say “what is this?….” Their loss.

Just feel so grateful to have seen them at The Barbican back in 2018 - and the Mansions about a half dozen times too. But CC's loss is still such a visceral one.

I’m unsure how I didn’t discover this post until today, Feb. 13, 2024. But, today is the day I “needed” to here it. “For the Interim Time” by John O’Donohue and your wise words are exactly what my soul needs at this moment. Thank you so much…..and a very Happy Birthday to you!💐

A true master passing on his invaluble experience and knowledge. There is a great lesson in this to the non-musician and how there are no short cuts to achieving the a level of performance that sounds effortless. Bravo to all the participants. I wish them all the very best I their future careers.

You might be a little more generative of a good conversation John if you removed that carrot from your arse. Lisa is great despite it.
