How do you deal with finding books that gated by company?

I find a bunch of profitable books, the problem I'm running into is that I'm gated in most of them, by brand. I'm ungated in books. It's a pain in the a....

I no longer buy any books that have Merchant offers less than $11.95, the reason being that Prime offers tend to gravitate downward to whatever the lowest Merchant offers are. Higher Merchant offers usually-but not always-mean that the Prime offers will also stay higher.

The first point of the video seems contradictory to what most Roamer videos instruct . I was of the understanding that we always go by the Buy Box because that is what people see and purchase from 99% of the time with the addition of getting it quickly with prime ? Now based on this video it seems to suggest we should go by just the merchant pricing?

Hey the video you mention about learning OA with another guy, can you put that in the description also? I’d love to watch it and understand OA better when it comes to books. I’m a beast at Retail Arbitrage and that’s how I sourced all 1.4k items I sold on whatnot in my business……… now I need to learn the online book side of it lol
@spencermartin886 күн бұрын
If just beginning in books I’d watch some videos from this channel, there’s plenty of content. If looking to do more OA books check out either victor gallegos or joji davenport, they have some good content. You’ll use keepa a lot, so if unfamiliar you’ll want to watch some videos on how to read keepa graphs.
@Abears_6 күн бұрын
@@spencermartin88 Keepa charts are very easy for me to read cause I spent the better part of the last 4 years day trading so data chart analysis is kinda second nature lol. I was just wondering on the part of actually finding which books to analyze. I know you mentioned 2 different places that you used, one was on Keepa and I forget the name of the other you mentioned

Only trying to engage with the community - I visited a store called Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, I found books (still in what looked like original plastic) for about 9$ profit each. One of them looks like the book fell on the corner but not horribly noticeable. Just wanted to know if there are instances where you sell books as new. Anyone’s response is welcome. Thanks in advance.

More discussions like this please. I think they both agree that a solid and accurate Sales Score, measured against Average Sales Rank, is the ideal, but they disagree on whether Sales Score can be trusted today without the need to look at Keepa data or even lowest FBM offer for each book. I know he's out of the book game at this point, but I'd love to see a Caleb Roth-Peter Valley debate as a follow up to this debate.
