Hello everyone, I have a 99 Dodge Durango, 5.2. I don't want a manual transmission, I'm better off with an automatic. But I want to install the same exhaust system as on this car. Does anyone know what components are needed? Are there two pipes running through the entire car? and what kind of resonators are there? 1:36 unbelievable sound..... Better.

Very cool. The grand cherokees through all years should have been offered with a manual trans. Unfortunately they dont think about that stuff. But if i were out in the mud i would want a standard transmission. Ive owned many vehicles and all but 1 have been manual trans on purpose. Id rather have a trans that i have control of and takes a couple pints of fluid over something with no control(especially in the snow) that uses gallons of fluid. I can trust a standard trans more than auto. All i have to do is pull a plug and let it drain and fill it back up once a year(i know i dont have to do it that often but i want fresh fluid that has zero contamination and not broken down) and if i let someone drive it that shouldnt maybe i have to change a clutch every now and then. But id much rather deal with that and have mostly direct drive control and response over having to deal with a torque converter dying or internals failing in a trans out of the blue when it was working fine the day prior. Just have no love for automatics or their issues.

what size tires/wheels?

19" wheels and tires are the same diameter as stock. I think it works out to 235/50R19

Awesome! I swapped an AX-15 into our 1998 4.0L ZJ after going through 2 automatics! Found pedal assembly from a 1993 manual ZJ in a junkyard.

Bonjour Je possède le même Grand Cherokee ZJ V8 5.2. Passage en Bvm effectué. Par contre j’ai le message surchauffe transmission qui s’affiche. La prise est débranchée. Comment shunter la prise ? Merci

Bonjour Bertrand, super pour le passage à la bvm! Je n'ai pas le message de surchauffe et j'ai oublié d'expliquer comment le faire! C'était il y a longtemps donc j'ai l'impression que cette question est une colle! En fait j'hésite avec la prise nss qui contient aussi le signal de marche arrière. Il me semble que j'ai connecté les deux fils entre eux. Ça fait sens car en général les capteurs de températures sont des résistances. Si le signal est connecté à l'alim, alors la résistance est nulle donc la température est minimum. Au contraire vu que la prise est débranchée alors l'ordinateur comprend une résistance infinie et donc une température maximale, d'où le message de surchauffe. Voilà j'espère que ces explications vous aideront! Au fait, si vous connaissez un amateur, ce ZJ est à vendre!
