Jeep ZJ 5.2L V8 - AC Belt Bypass [LOUD!]

Looked into finding a proper AC bypass belt, and here it is!

Hey I did the same thing, and was wondering if you had any issues with the belt jumping off the ribs a little bit on start ups and turn offs?

Nope, never at all! The belt should sit exactly the same way as stock.

I saw a tip of replacing the ac pulley with an idler pulley. This video is the match to my motor so im wondering if I delete the system if replacing the pulley can help it not be so loud? 🤔

I have a 95 Grand Cherokee with 5.2. Is this a drop in fix for eliminating AC compressor using the OEM automatic belt tensioner?

It is absolutely drop in using the factory tensioner. It's teh belt that is featured on the AC bypass diagram on the radiator support. This would work with and ZJ and possibly any 5.2/5.9 with the same accessory drive layout.

Is there any noticeable differences in the operation of the vehicle because of the shorter belt? (other than the lack of air conditioning?)

Camille Moffat no, I wouldn't think so. if you want to delete the AC completely this is the belt you need.

+Camille Moffat not really... You might sense a difference if you never electrically unplugged the compressor and let it free wheel all the time but this belt is only useful if you want to delete the AC compressor and system entirely.

I picked up that belt today but can't get the fan nut off the water pump.

Thomas Cole you don't need to!! Just wiggle and snake the belt around the fan! :-)

I understand! It's as heavy as the alternator I'd say. Quite easy to remove!

Diolum Pc Pour moi pas grand chose si ce n'est pour temporairement arrêter le couinement du compresseur de clim en attendant d'en récupérer un autre.. Au final, comme c'est une chose peu connue je la publie histoire de prouver que c'est possible!
