Interesting. But is there an exercise to improve my potential? Maybe long jumps in the bunker?

.. could this be done with irons to a lesser degree to gain distance with the irons or would it ruin the accuracy and low point

I'm very curious about a caveat here. I have a theory that my clubs are too long which is making me delay the vertical force. And your experience have you ever seen that be an issue? So for example my clubs feel too long so I can't just fully extended impact cuz I feel like I never going to catch the club up yet when I choke down dramatically like three or four inches I can time it perfectly but the only issue is I don't have any speed. But the contact is amazing in the ball flight is amazing it's just much shorter. Is it possible that equipment would completely throw off your timing is my question?

..eh go see a fitter, no?
@jacobr455828 күн бұрын
@@cdunne1620 "fitters" are sales people not actual fitters. I have already gone to 4 different fitters and it was an absolute waste of time!

@@jacobr4558 .. well buy a second cheaper set and cut them down and regrip them and find out and then come back on here and let us all know how you got on. It’s a very bad situation if you can’t find an expert fitter but anyway good luck, I look forward to hearing back from you🙄

Hey Tyler. How does a biomechanist decide on kinetics vs kinematics? I worked for Dr Ralph Mann for years and we focused on kinematics exclusively. Kinetics helps from a teaching perspective in a way that totally changes how we can teach a student. Two sides of one coin I think. With a student with a wipey action we probably would take a different approach if thinking in terms of kinematics only. Great stuff.

Data driven analysis might appear to be impressive but without a true understanding of the information it does nothing for the average golfer. Everyone watching is most likely impressed but have learned nothing that will improve their swing. Basically, people like this are making a living out of confusing the $#!t out of people. Have any of you viewers learned anything that you're excited to grab a club and go outside and try right now?

This is a golf tradeshow, the PGA show, for business exhibitiors. Obviously they are showcasing Smart2move, force plate devices. The people attending this show probably understand the gist of what is happening here. For a better explanation you would need to take a lesson from someone trained to utilize and explain these devices. Dr. Greg Rose is basically an expert at analyzing golf swings to improve ground reaction forces, force and torque utilization to swing faster and hit farther. Cool stuff!

Thanks Greg & Jason, I love this stuff that was the quickest 8 min video ever! I was a biomechanist and at 60 I have goals for golf. I always thought a force couple was best but I didn't know how to do it, plus I was totally ignoring the Moment arm effect to create rotation with a lateral force OH MY I have some practicing to do!! Thanks again, brilliant!

Why are there players who even having a great looking swing their strike is really bad

Because it’s a game of compensations. The best players have the best mechanics AND the best compensations. You can teach anyone perfect positioning in the golf swing, but without skill based training also, it’s useless.

That's the first time in nearly 40 years of golf that I try a drill that makes me obtain a significant result instantly. I am not a long distance golfer, just an old guy looking for ways of getting solid contact at hitting the golf ball anytime. Jason here brings the keys to improve at light speed! Thanks a lot, mate 😁😉.

I'm having a hard time taking anything away from the visual force lines. There's just so much going on. You say a few times to apply force with both feet at the same time but to me it looks like you very clearly switch from trail foot to lead foot (red line getting shorter as blue gets longer). I would expect based on your description that both lines increase in size at the same time.
