Very much agree, the difficulty spike is wild which is really unfortunate cause I think there are somewhat cool ideas in this level. Those wind effects are evil 😭😭 totally bungled that section which is so unfortunate cause it had the potential to be the best plane section in the game imo Agree with you 100% man. @@SendoDX also can we talk a little bit about the Tree Palace and Maria boss fight? Because I'm pretty sure these were meant to be as bonus levels. Tree Palace, because the floating platforms and is also the only level that has a little changed the design where it feels like a level for testing your skills then your typical level. And Maria... I mean there's just no explanation why she is there as a boss fight. They didn't even try. Not to mention like you said: it's just throwing assets on you. Like I would appreciate it more as a bonus level after collecting all these red rings and maybe even the music room, BUT NO! Instead we need that frickin history about levels you were going through and nothing else! And I beat that game 100% I beat the story mode. I collected all the red rings. I beat every level on S rank as intended character and the secondary character. I beat the final boss in perfect sync for fun. This game just doesn't offer anything after.

Pretty sure someone thought it was extremely subjective and clever storytelling. Nah bro. Nah.

I still think Sonic Omens OVERALL isn't that bad, BUT it has incredibly low lows. So saying "Sonic at its worst" is more so in reference to when the game fumbles HARD rather than the overarching experience.

OH forgot to mention, these titles are not indicative of my OVERALL perspective on Omens, it's just the specific content of that video. So yeah, this individual level is the worst Sonic stage I've ever played but there are super high highs and really low lows. Overall not that bad but individually can be fun or terrible depending on the day.
