Thanks for this video man, I week ago start a journey with chat gpt to decide who is the most powerfull character in DD, but it evolve into full story, a spin-off of how life after Ancestor could be in Hamlet, and how story of first game can be continued, also i have a lot of fun because, a types of tournaments, simulating tools, and challenges that guys have in my fiction world are never the same, for example first tournament was about 3vs3 pvp scenario where i roll dices, and use my creativity to interpret how battle is going on, then simulation of second tournament will be in real game, and guys will be doing missions in different 3 classes teams to see who are the best in terms of being capable to complete mission, and get more loot than others. Then best of 8 from 2 tournaments, and the worse 8 will be compete against each others to win 1 Official DD Olympics, and also be safe for next tournament, and the worst 2 will be send to stop "someone" from coming back and keep him to be not too powerfull in place where he is now, and where he shouldn't be. Also is only a begining of story, and i think that you see that i will be not writing it in english language haha, but i am excited, and want to share this with some people who love this lore like me. Greetings from Poland!

It feels like once you're 'reborn' you lose your humanity in a different way than the zombies. The reborn seem indifferent, uncaring and brutally honest in petty hatred, but can't act upon these urges due to the 'higher ups orders'. Arthur wanted Edward gone so bad, but couldn't do anything because the higher up rules were that Ed wasn't confirmed reborn or not, yet. Humans are irrational, but expressive and empathetic creatures... the reborn show a cold and calculated way of life, no matter how warm their new society looks.

The repetition of the number 6 throughout the game is interesting too. I wonder if it has a deeper, symbolic meaning, or if it's just something fun and stylistic the devs threw in there? Or maybe the number 6 is simply part of the Eusan Nation and its strict, militaristic way of life?

Really late to the party but I think biker still being alive after the bombs makes sense. And also a character with survivors guilt

I killed her because i stumbled upon the room before exploring the rooftops, then got the talisman, found Cleofas in the prison cell and gave him the talisman, then found him on the rooftops regardless and he still killed himself

"Lore", what "lore" exactly pal? a blatant clone of Blasphemous, completely devoid of sense or direction, a game in which you kill enemies, defeat bosses and you don't know why. you don't even know where to go, most of the time, or why you must go there . some bits and pieces scattered to try to have some semblance of a motivation, copying the mediocre storytelling of Dark Souls games. a mediocre game

I’ve noticed an odd dichotomy between people who’ve played the series versus people who’ve only watched KZbin videos. Most people who’ve played the series view Brad as a horribly flawed, but ultimately human and sympathetic character. Versus people who’ve only experienced the game through KZbin form usually view him as an extremely evil and abusive monster, akin to his father. I’m sure some people could make an argument for both viewpoints, just found it a little interesting

… does anyone else feel like that ending was completely and utterly unsatisfying in every way?… i regret spending the last 50 minutes just to get told “yeah it was all for nothing and you die.”, dont try coming at me with any of that “its a layered narrative” bs, its just unsatisfying, we dont even know if arthur meant ‘take care of’ as in your daughter had become a monster or reborn, i dont care if its not canon the writers couldnt even make an alternate ending? even if its a not the true ending of the story, they couldve had one drop of satisfaction rather than absolute total hopelessness, that just feels like an absolute and total waste, we dont even know anything about the visitors other than “theyre big” and “they are the reason bad stuff is happening”.

The saddest thing is that if Brad wasn't consumed by Joy, he might even have spared Marty (if the player chose that option). Probably not for him, but for Buddy, but it does make the scene worse. As if not for Joy, things may have not been this bad.

8:36 I guess the reason I justify playing it is that: The characters need to see their ending. They need to see how their story ends. We can't stop them or else they'll die before it's their time. Hotline Miami is a story. A story that has many endings that you don't get to see. You get shot once on most characters and that's a new path to a new ending that you don't get to see. Their stories must play out the way it needs to happen. Because if it doesn't, perhaps things don't change, but perhaps things do. We may never know. Not until Hotline Miami 3 if it ever comes out. The point being is this. It doesn't matter if we like hurting other people. What matters is making sure that everyone gets the ending they deserve.

I am under the impression that the bounty that gets left behind by Tardif is actually a bounty of his own making as it bears the same mask he wears. So, rather than actually acquiring bounties via goverment/persons he makes his own bounties to hunt for his own purpose.
