Too bad it's hard to find any way I can upgrade a 139qmb past 72cc without the crank being an issue. Can find stroker cranks but non of the supporting mods needed to make it work properly due to the longer strokes.

Very informative video. It is great to see exactly what goes into tearing one of these down. The process is simple as you show it. I bet it could get a whole lot more complicated. That special oil ring socket is the right thing to have. Thanks again.

This is a tappered fit first. Second heating the gear and then putting it right against the seal cant be good either

Great Video. It would have been nice of you tested the harbor frieght model at the end. That would have given a comparison and something interesting to think about. I got mine cheap on Ebay. I think it works. We got a GY6 measurement of 50psi. I burned out the piston for sure.

This was a really good video. Appreciate it! I know it's 8 years old but thought I'd ask if anyone out there has the torque spec for the starter clutch nut? Can't find it anywhere, I know it's reverse thread and tight may just be good enough, just thought I'd ask. Thanks.

This story is told backwards. 49 CC turned into 150CC. Vague references to sizes and you're wearing a head camera to shake everything up. The narration is incomplete.

I installed a NCY big bore and I’m now starting to get a grinding sound when I start it. Not every start. One out of ten maybe. Hoping it’s the starter clutch. Have you heard of this happening before?

I know this is an old video, but in case anyone is watching and struggles with figuring out which bolts go where here’s an easy way to figure it out when you just have a pile of bolts. Put the pieces together and start just sliding any bolt in then--All bolts in general follow this rule of thumb (I know this cause I’m machinist and have read about and worked on engines for 30 years). Ok…so you slide any bolt in and just look how much it is sticking up above the part it’s clamping. Bolts when made by a factory to hold something together will follow this rule-the downer of the bolt at the threaded portion, times 1.5-2 will be how far it engages. So if it’s a 6mm bolt (the bolts in metric land that have 8 or 10mm hex or 5mm Allen ) will screw in 9-12mm. So in other words, when it is just slid into the hole and not threaded you should see 9-12mm off bolt shank under the head. If the hex head is already touching the part then it’s obviously the wrong bolt and it’s toooo short. If there’s noticeably an inch of shank sticking outta the hole when you slide the bolt in it’s way too long. The other way is to slide all the bolts in any hole in any order. Some will stick up way higher than others and some might not stick up any. If too high it’s gonna bottom out. If the hex head portion sticks out hardly any then you know it’s too short cause if you tried to thread it in it might only go one turn or so and that’s not enough it will pull the threads out if you tighten it. Basically just swap them around till they all are about sticking up above the surface same amount. After more experience it will just become second nature to be able to tell what goes where. There’s other ways to determine when you’ve just got a pile of bolts but this is already too long, 😂

I bet you can get a wicked fast build, but the cvt belt just doesn't hold up, I got my gy6 to 140km/h and about a 1/2 hour later the belt shred to pieces, kevlar, chinese, none of them can tolerate high speed for very long, gy6 is 4000km belt lifespan even if it looks good eventually it will bust, 2 or 3 spares under the seat is a good idea and just in case your rollers move when the belt busts Dewalt Atomic DCF809C2 is compact and light enough to carry and only $99.00....oh and by the way I was about 150km away from home when my last belt busted, got it fixed in 15min and rode home at no more then 80km/h.

I saw there are 12 pole stators for 157QMJ GY6 motors but so you have to purchase a new flywheel? I know with the 11 you can keep the stock flywheel because it's 8/11.
