@@frankpusch4616 I do not have a steering damper on my bike and it could use one for sure. On flat-out straightaways the front wheel oscillates quite a bit. I would order the one from Uncle Wang’s. Their website continues to grow with parts available for the Kove. My suspension set up is stock. When I got the bike from the dealer, it was set extremely soft and has taken a lot of experimenting to get set up better.

I'm just curious what tyres you use that the sidewall is unstable at sub 2 bar, I ride at 1.5, actually lower sometimes, and my sidewalls are quite stable, my bike ain't as heavy as yours, but my point stands
@advmotoskillz
@advmotoskillz 13 күн бұрын
My favorite tire to ride here in Dubai is the Motoz Rallz tire. The knobbies are great for pulling through soft sand. I will certainly drop pressure down close to 1.5 bar if I get stuck in some fech fech like sand and then air back up once I’m back in more secure footing. With a bike weighing 500 pounds plus my body weight and whatever gear I have on the bike as well… sharp turns on a 1.5 bar tire causes quite a bit of sidewall roll. Plus, hitting a clump of camel grass on a soft tire will certainly put a flat spot in a wheel real quick 😅

hello ! can ot be done with BMW ASA (no clutch)?
@advmotoskillz
@advmotoskillz 2 ай бұрын
@@filiplesiak5096 Short answer is yes. I have not tried the BMW ASA but I have ridden the Africa Twin DCT, and done some elephant turns on it. If I were to try the ASA, I would do in “M” shift mode- for maximum RPM power. I think being in “D” shift mode, the automated gear changes would override our intention of wanting maximum rear wheel spin. A nice feature of having a clutch on a bike is to play in that friction zone to deliver the amount of power to the rear wheel as necessary.

As you practice clutch friction and accelerate slowly from the accelerator plus slow pressing of brake of the back tyre, can it help in slow moving while making a turn or moving slowly while balancing the motorcycle?
@advmotoskillz
@advmotoskillz 3 ай бұрын
Yes. Correctly combining the friction zone, throttle control, and rear brake is the trifecta of technical slow riding. The last component to master is proper body positioning to counterbalance the bike as it leans while riding at slow speeds.

Whats good while driving in muddy/slippery road? Tc on or off?
@advmotoskillz
@advmotoskillz 3 ай бұрын
@@nova.15v4 I prefer TC off. If the rear wheel starts to slip because there is no traction, being able to twist the throttle and get full wheel spin can allow the bike to continue with forward momentum. With TC on in a similar situation and you go heavy on the throttle, the power to the rear wheel will be interrupted and you can lose your forward momentum. 👍🏻
