Cool footage. I've driven through storms like that before. I really felt bad for the trucker that broke down on the bridge. That had to be really scary for the poor guy especially with such slow visibility.

I wouldn't have made it! First of all, I'm afraid of bridges (have bad anxiety) and it's to dark! 😳😱

I've been over the bridge many times over the years, and it never really gets better because I hate heights. Traffic on it has gotten worse as well. Now the positive! You can always take an alternative route, I think. Maybe someone knows of one. Back in late 70s we went over it in a large Ford van during the holidays and in a massive snowstorm. I think they closed it right after we went over. But the road bridge was slick, trucks were sliding away from the rails, and we saw a couple of whacky kids speeding spin out of control on the Jersey side. They made it across. I don't know why this bridge is so scary, it just sort of pops out of nowhere and you're on it.

I been having muscle twitches all over my body from head to toe for over 10 years now. For the past 3 weeks both my arch foot been twitching along with my calves. Out of all the twitches I had , the arch twitches are the worst. They feel like I’m getting a cramp. I hate it

That was terrifying!

About 2 years before this my wife and I were doing a road trip for our honeymoon and I made sure to plan our drive to head this way. Visions of an idyllic sunny day in my head. Unfortunately the weather was exactly like in this video and it was absolutely horrible

Great video, horrible music (especially for this setting). Would have loved the sound of the rain and the drama of the video without the distraction of the completely wrong music.

I've never had a problem with this bridge (or most others), but then again every time I've crossed it the weather has been pleasant. When I was a kid going to Ocean City with my parents it was always an awe-inspiring thrilling sight. But driving on it in storm like this would indeed be a bit sketchy to say the least.... Once time I was driving westbound with my mom and I was just moseying along in the slow lane enjoying the scenery. Then my mom started yelling "Get in the middle lane! Get in the middle lane!". And I was like, "Why?" And she responded "Because you're TOO CLOSE TO THE EDGE!" That was disappointing, as that was one of the very few times I actually got to drive across it. I wanted to be able to see over the edge.... Only bridge I was ever freaked out by was the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore (sadly now gone) - I had seen scary pictures of it on TV and it looked like some kind of roller coaster from hell. Then one time I got lost and found myself heading right for it in heavy rain (no lightning and better visibility than this one) and the hair stood up on the back of my neck when I saw it towering high before me in the mist. I was scared to death my car wouldn't make the grade and I'd go sliding back down....or off of it! I white knuckled it and made it across but it left me with an indelible memory. BTW my mom was scared of the Key Bridge too....and the Delaware Memorial Bridge.

That's one bridge I'm always glad to see solid ground under the roadway. Have crossed it in highwinds, you say a prayer and hang onto the steering wheel. And you have to pay for the experience. Good old EZ pass, should give you a refund on terrible days like this.

I watch scary bridge videos to get over my fear of bridges. I've driven this in dead of night, with zero traffic, and booked it straight up the middle line at 80mph. THIS video is terrifying!!
