To me if I was on a strict budget, my priorities would be: mini led, qled FALD screen with 120hz+ refresh, hdmi 2.1, and the ability to hit 1000+ nits. I think that is what you truly need to get a proper hdr experience on a lcd and this seems to be the cheapest tv that offers all of that. 120hz is helpful even for 24p content because of the ability to avoid 3:2 pull-down.

After playing with the settings, I settled on "Energy saving" mode (I know all the "experts" say don't use this setting, but I found I got a wider viewing mode with this setting (not great but better than any other setting, IMO) Colors seemed much richer and it gave a more soothing appearance to the picture.

I’ve enjoyed my 65” U7K since a little before Super Bowl weekend. Only thing for people to know is that the 65” model specifically seems to suffer from a “rainbow strip” in the bottom right corner. Saw it in multiple Reddit post and I personally had my tv swapped twice and every single one had the same 12-14” line of colors in the bottom right corner. It’s mostly visible against gray and some white backgrounds so it wasn’t a huge deal for me, got Best Buy to give me a discount because of the panel issue and will get Hisense to repair/replace 2-3 months before warranty expires, or if the issue gets worse.

Thanks for the video. I'm looking for a specific use case - not everyone will have this need. In my use case, I don't want to add a soundbar, so the TV needs to 'stand' on it's own for sound. TRings rates this TV as the best mid-ranger for sound. I tend to prefer the more established brands like LG, Sony, Panasonic, etc. Is this really that much better than those (given the video hows it's only better tha 39% of TVs)? And the U6K?

Funny timing...I've been watching this TV for days. It has gone UP in price by about $200 since the Super Bowl weekend/Presidents day pricing in 2 steps (about $100 after the Super Bowl (hoping they'd clear 'em out after) and another $100 about a week later. (It's notable that Amazon seems to watch everybody else's prices and be the last to go up.) Not gonna buy for $1,100 when it was $900 3 weeks ago! The competing TVs didn't jump back up. #waiting

Bought this tv in costco for a good price, the build quality is quite bad and plastic smell was awful. I noticed a very bad gray screen uniformity with green lines but I decided it should be ok for the price. After 1 month of usage a huge green(like dirty screen) spot appeared on left side of the screen visible on all colors and I had to return the TV. I don't recommend this unreliable TV.

I’m considering getting the tv since the 55 inch is on sale for under $480 but my concerns is these Cons that Tom’s Guide had said that the tv had -Wobbly stand -Angled viewing isn't the best -Not the best motion-processing Because I have the 43” TCL S425 since 2019 & it still runs like new & that’s why I was learning towards the TCL Q6 because of the longevity that I have with the TCL S425 tv because if the motion processing is not better than the TCL Q6 then I might be better off with the TCL tv What do you think?
