Kind of glad taxi drivers protested against Uber now. Uber tried to come to the country where I live what taxi drivers protested because the taxi fare here is already stupid cheap. Anyway uber returned years later (so it's here now) but it's basically just uber owned taxis. So the Ubers are all silver cars of the same type with uber taxi printed on them. Now obviously taxi drivers are still human and can still do creepy shit but it's less likely with a taxi driver than with some random person in his own car that was barely vetted by anyone.

How was that not bad intentions? Lmfao I think women are conditioned to think that men doing bad things is not bad because how was that not bad intentions? That's like saying yeah he stole my purse but like he didn't have bad intentions for doing so. What???

I took an Uber once and I was underage age at the time and this grown ass man asking if I smoke weed and if I ever need weed to ask him, and to take his personal phone number to get rides cuz he has his own driving business outside of Uber. Obviously wasn’t as bad as other stories but I was freaked out. Why is a grown ass man talking to me like this? I reported him on Uber and I got my account banned and he continues to work for them I believe. I was weirded out but I was not gonna make it a big deal, he probs thought I was of age. Anyway I don’t use Uber (I can’t I think my acc was permanently banned) but whatever. Stay safe out there everyone!!

I rarely read comments unless it's replies to what I've said. I'm sick of Internet trolls and just don't give them my time. If I leave a comment my ASD brain just had to say something about the video or I just want to show the creator I support them. ❤❤❤❤

I have legs, a bike and bus money. I'd rather be caught in the open where I can run screaming and getting eyes on me and waking houses up rather than being in a driver-lockable car. This video just tells me to continue doing this 😭 When i have absolutely no choice, i am either recording or on the phone with someone, every place im going is my husbands (im single lmao), and even if im recording i pretend im talking to someone and ask the driver for the estimated arrival time and "inform the person on the phone", just like "yeah babe my taxi will be there in 4 or 5 minutes". Not a single thing left up to chance

I love my imaginary husband 😭 Unfortunately where I live isn’t walkable and doesn’t have a good public transport system, so rideshare when you don’t have your car is necessary at times
@nightmarecastni3 күн бұрын
@@sydsinternet Yeah, I'm lucky enough to be in the UK where it's way more walkable. I usually end up going for a licensed taxi over a ride share personally because it feels a little safer (taxi driver exams and such needed here so it's more company based and they're more wary of who they're hiring with background checks and such). Truly feel for yall 🩷 And truth, my imaginary husband is the best 😭 always there when I'm in a pickle

People are stupid. DECLAWING is bad for cats. You’re supposed to trim their nails though. I work in vet med and literally had to treat a cat for nails that grew into and punctured their toe beans today

i love cats so much, but people forget that if a cat actually feels threatened it can act on those impulses. leaving a cats claws to grow can cause them to curve back in on their paws!! more people need to realise a quick google search can clear up any misinformation. love your videos!!

while it’s sad our cats don’t get to roam freely outside, it’s sadder than songbird populations are being decimated by cats, cats are being hit by cars and mutilated by neighbors, cats are eaten by dogs and coyotes, and so much more…

There have been actual murders committed by Lyft and Uber drivers before…the fact that they still don’t take this seriously after people have died is so disgusting.

These stories are horrible. I hate that you feel you have to say there are men waiting for you… Like drivers are only afraid of other men and won’t just be respectful human beings... Our society is so imbalanced, I’m so sorry to hear that this happens. Thanks for sharing this info.

When I visited Malaysia, I used this app called Grab, and it's safety features were amazing, it allows to call the police discretely and if you want, you can use turn on your phone microphone for the whole ride just in case anything bad happens, they've got a recording. I was really impressed with it and how much steps they put toward safety. Although, I have not used Uber or Lyft, but by judging from this video, safety doesn't seem to be taken as seriously.

Those uber rides are the only 1 on 1 time they get with women...ever. so they take advantage of the moment and try to gain something from it. when it goes against all codes of ethics. intrusive behavior should be reported so those drivers are (hopefully) banned
@sydsinternet7 күн бұрын
that's a good point! code of conduct is needed!

Well here in malaysia, we have something called Grab which is like uber. I honestly had no problems with it so far and the app does monitor where you go. So if the driver is not following the path or going somewhere else, a message would pop up to ask you if you are safe or if they need to call the police for you. They would even call you to check up on you because they monitor it in the system. Once I didn't accurately put the address I wanted but it was still nearby so I asked the driver to just go a bit further from the original location, I then received a call from them to check up on me if everything was ok. That definitely made me feel safer tbh although I was the one who requested the driver to go further from the location. There, however, have been incidents (or so I read) where people have robbed the grab drivers and so to avoid that, they have advised people not to book rides for others.

Are the drivers following the GPS? If so, then I would say it's technology rather than the rideshare drivers that is the issue.
@sydsinternet7 күн бұрын
You can usually see their GPS on the dash though..

About the school’s teaching internet safety; some do! Multiple schools I’ve gone to have done yearly assemblies teaching internet safety. They’ve gone over the very basics of it, but definitely they should go into more detail about posting revealing things that give out your daily routine and locations. That being said, it was just the schools I’ve went to, so I have no idea if others do this too. I’m assuming there’s more out there that teach kids these things though.
