thats a terrible argument, because the two ways of pronouncing "tech" is based on the soft c or the hard c, so there is only "tek" or "te-ch" on the other hand "x" has an undebatable sound, "xylophone", "textile", they all make the "ks" sound, further more "latex" is a real word (for the rubber, not the format), you argue using his pronunciation is a form of respect, but personally using the format locally is already giving enough respect, and im just saying the word as it is supposed to be pronounced
