the last bit of your video how did you get the chords from scaler or chord track, into midi form?
@edzielinski5 күн бұрын
In Scaler 2, placed the chords into section C on the Main page, activated MIDI capture, in the dialog box click share, save to files app, and then drag and drop into Logic Pro.

According to the Korg website, by purchasing the Korg gadget 3 for $39.95, I get 20 modules out of the 45 available. My question is: How much will it cost me to be able to obtain all 45 modules?
@edzielinskiАй бұрын
It would be a significant amount. If you open the spreadsheet that I created (see link in the description), it shows which modules are included in the initial purchase, which ones are in-app purchases, and which ones are separate apps which can be "Gadgetized" and used within Gadget. Note that not all are AUv3, which is also indicated. The cost for the in-app purchases are visible in the Gadget app page in the app store. The separate app purchases can be found in the app store as well, and most are in the $20 and up range. If you use the spreadsheet, it should let you tally up the total. If anything is not clear in the sheet, or seems incorrect, let me know.

. . .even though one has to admit that the ‘60’s and the ‘70’s was musically earthshaking!
@edzielinski2 ай бұрын
Agreed 100%. It was a massive shift and new landscapes of sound were blown wide open. I've been pondering this exact point recently, and it really was different then in one way that can never be duplicated, which is that the styles of music expanded and proliferated massively and it's continued since that time, although at a slower pace. Now, any new type of music that is truly original has a massive hill to climb over to reach new and interesting territory. It's going to take some new ideas and some really daring and bold artists to bring us to the next level.

Hello ED!Very valuable tutorial as long as Logic does not have ability to detect and extract chords from a audio file,even so...all the AI apps does not do the job perfect still need a lot of editing which takes time...your method takes time as well but we get 100% accuracy and like a bonus force us to train the ear.I love the idea by checking track because we get timing for the midi chords...that is great ,we can now to play a keyboard appropriate style via midi so we can create original valuable backing track without copyright infringement.Thank you so much for the answer of my internal questions .Like and subscribe of course

I love these drum sample sounds. I tried to use this app for live performance, but at the end of every phrase there is some super busy fill that sounds like a garbage truck emptying. Is there any way to eliminate, get around or simplify those obnoxious fills? Otherwise the app is useless for live performances.
@edzielinski3 ай бұрын
In most of the drummer apps, there is an option to control the fills. If you locate the three dots on the bar above the the patterns and sounds, it should bring up a new set of options including "Jam" and in there should be an option for "Bars for a fill." Try setting that to off, and see if it works. When I tested it out on Funk Drummer, it seemed to work.

Hi Ed, Helium already has a custom grid layout for StrummerFX built in! It's called Strummer....
@edzielinski5 ай бұрын
Interesting! I did not see that in the list. Perhaps it was included with a later version of Strummer from the app store? I first purchased Strummer around 4 years ago. Then I recommend that Strummer users check their custom layout list and see if there's one included. Thanks for the info.

Thank you Ed! I saw Lumbeat items in your Grid layout list at 9:16 ... Could i ask you how do you control these drum apps from Helium?
@edzielinski5 ай бұрын
Sure thing. The Lumbeat drum apps can be controlled by MIDI input, but only the settings and parameters such as starting/stopping playback, volume, reverb level, soundset and so on, but not triggering the actual drums.
