Yes, I got this (shade 9) and I LOVE it too. For many of the same reasons you wrote. I can’t believe how undetectable it looks even on my large pore areas. It adds enough color that I don’t look piggy pink on a work Zoom but I don’t look overly made up for a regular workday. It’s so fast to apply and I don’t have to powder set it (I blot later in my T zone). It’s so much nicer than the original foundation, that I do like but that’s much drier and more difficult to spread without finagling it. I saw so many people have a ‘wow moment’ when reviewing it and so did I. 🤓 The best part is that the color isn’t too yellow or peach or olive. Lisa always nails the undertones. 🏆

How soft are they to the skin? Are they as soft as the blue squirrel/ Z series?

Hi! It's a different kind of soft. The fox hair makes these more robust than the Z series, so if the Z series is like silk, the Ren series is like a nice, high quality cotton. If I'm really nitpicking, I think the Ren-04 can feel just a bit pokey if I use it for transition/crease work but otherwise it's OK for eyeshadow laydown. Hello! Not silly at all ☺ I don't think that a more casual collector needs to get the full set. One large and one small brush should scratch the itch lol. The two large brushes are very similar to one another in dimensions and performance which is why I say no one needs both. The eye brushes are OK but not my favorite; I tend not to do well with pointy shaped brushes so that's also personal bias. I'd say get the large one because it can also be used for laydown; the small pointy brushes aren't worth it to me because there are other brushes I own that perform better.

I’ve had this on my to-try list for over a year. Wow, your thoughts on the packaging!… are making me postpone my purchase. Had you had it long before it started flaking? Seeing the minimal cast on your skintone was helpful.

I saw other reviews that said the packaging was a problem, and I made it a point to handle the bottle with care to try and prevent this from happening. For a while it was fine. The beginning of the end was when I traveled with it, and friction in my travel bag started to make the plastic peel. At that point there was no coming back 🙁. I really hope it changes because it's such a good product otherwise. Thanks so much for watching! ☺

Wow 🫢 - the complexion brush is tiny tiny! Such different brushes 😆 It immediately reminded me of the Lisa Eldridge No.1 Seamless Blend brush in terms of look (that one is synthetic). She can sell me *anything* except that brush hah. It looks too small and not worth the price but I still somehow want it and would find a way to use it if it fell out of the sky. I have a very cheap version of it when I feel like swiping foundation. :) TFS!

I dry with brush guards after washing, so this might affect things. After a decent amount of use over the last few months, they still haven't bloomed out much. If you've seen Jaybirdwalking's video where she demo'd the large powder brush, the ones in my collection don't bloom anywhere near as much as the one she featured on her channel.
