Part 1 is already live :) Welcome back, where I'm uploading some panic buys I've done recently to prepare for a price increase that Koyudo, Bisyodo, and Mizuho are implementing on October 1st. Today I'm unboxing the Red Canadian Squirrel/High grade saikoho cheek brush available exclusively via Bobo Fude.
Like yesterday's eye brushes, this is super soft. The addition of goat hair means it doesn't have the snapback of the pure RCS cheek brush I posted last week, but it's still got a nice amount of snap to it. The small surface area will allow for nice, accurate blush and highlight placement.
As soon as I saw this I knew I wanted it, and I'm so glad I got it! The size and shape of this is a dead ringer for the red squirrel LNY release. If you missed that, or weren't really feeling red squirrel hair, you can get it in this shape. I enjoy using this to apply blushes that aren't that pigmented. It builds up the product really nicely without it looking too cakey. It's on the smaller side (smaller than the recently released Ren-06) so it isn't the most efficient, which can be kind of annoying if you're in a rush to do your makeup, but it comes in handy if you want to do something like watercolor blush. Of course, there's no shortage of good cheek brushes out there so if you're on a budget this wouldn't be my go-to recommendation, but it's a solid choice and I wouldn't talk you out of getting it if it piqued your interest 👍🏽
