I have this same engine. Struggling to find the model number so I can buy parts for it. You have any recommendations?

In early 1956 I saw the of these (1952 4-door green Champion), with 17,000 really miles at the local Chevy dealer. I rushed home & told my dad. I needed a car for college in the fall. Dad bought it for $600. Loved that car.

How do I adjust the idle? I have the same engine but different carburetor. 3 HP Briggs and Stratton engine
@Johnnyboy717925 ай бұрын
I'm not sure what carburetor you have, but look where your throttle cable is connected. There should be a screw with a spring on it for adjusting the idle. A little goes a LONG way.

I wanted make an intake manifold out of steel for a 110cc pitbike engine to shorten its total height. will the carb still work if its lower then the manifold?

Damn.... I wonder what it's like to have so much money? Frickin' nice neighborhood, nice homes, can't imagine the price to live there!
@Anarchy-Is-Liberty8 ай бұрын
Must be you have one intake feeding two cylinders, huh? Wait a minute, that's a 6 cylinder! So each intake feeds two cylinders? That's pretty cool, man.

I put the engine from my 1976 honda cb550 on my childhood go cart frame, it was fairly easy cause the transmission is built inside of it so I got the linkages done and fired it up and me and my friend were on it and a cop got behind us so I acted like I was gonna run to scare my friend and when I stopped the cop was pissed, he walked me back to his car and showed me the radar and it was locked on 118 mph. Lol. I only had it about 3/4 opened up and had one more gear to go, i would love to take it somewhere and see what the top speed is

It is possible and perhaps better to leave the condenser and the condenser point bracket on the engine and just run a points file between them to clean them and restore the spark. You want the two points perfectly flat in relation to each other, with no rounded-off corners, so leaving them on the engine insures that they are oriented as well as possible. Kudos to you for doing points ignition maintenance and not just replacing them with a new Magnetron coil as many are wont to do.

3:16 Do NOT hammer on the two "bosses" as that is a good way to shear them right off. The starter clutch housing is made of soft aluminum. If you prefer doing it that way, be gentle. The large channel-lock pliers DO WORK, make sure to adjust them so the jaw opening is large enough and the plier handles are closer together than you had yours, to give yourself a fighting chance at removing the flywheel nut. Padding the plier jaws with tape is also highly recommended and will keep the engine looking pristine and NOT like a monkey worked on it. Also recommend to put put the plier jaws against one of the bosses for more leverage. Briggs & Stratton No.19244 Starter Clutch Wrench is the proper tool, not too costly and Briggs also makes a Flywheel Holder No.19167 (but I think the prybar is fine as long as you're not an 800lbs gorilla with it). These tools might be worth it and will "pay for themselves" if you work on a lot of these engines.

I have a IH Lawn Tractor with Kohler Engine which I use occasionally. My nephew also has one in mint condition which he obtained through his grandpa. These old IH lawn tractors were really miniature tractors with real transmissions. Unlike todays lawn mower made of press steel decks with cheap spindles, pulleys, transmissions and plastic hoods. You should run that at county fairs were they have miniature lawn tractors racing and pulling miniature weight selds. Hats Off To You On Your Engineer Marvel. Sincerely Mr. T.

Just watched your latest video and I’m glad to see you back on youtube! Just a heads up, don’t set the video to “for kids” as it disables comments and makes your videos harder to find. Its a confusing feature but If your video is suitable for children it’ll be fine and you should only label it as “for kids” if theyre the target demographic. Looking forward to your next upload.
