The Errorcode 808C3090 is a USB C problem. Please check the lines and ics in the USB C ciruits.

@@SuperEmil2010 I don't know if it is normal. The error code is pointing towards the USB C ciruits. I would make sure that the readings at the associated chips and lines are fine again and than move on to other issues. Some problems with core features (bad WiFi/bad disc drive/bad USB/...) can cause a PS5 to not(re) install any firmware.

I have a series x laying around that has beep on/beep off beein try9ng to fix it for ages. Replaced the MP86965 chip at U82 & nothing. Tried without the ssd, with a cloned ssd, done just about everything. Hope this fixes it. Mosfets were the only other thing I was thinking it could be but this looks promising.

As always. A nice fix. Here in the UK we used to see a lot of Medion products. IIRC, it was a PC World/Curry's brand. (Two high street outlets in the UK). They were always nice to repair. Great job, keep the content coming.

Very well done. It appears as if the last owner screwed around with the solder pads as they look all carved up before you started work. The seller should have disclosed the missing caps, what a jerk.

Thank you. :) The owner had told me the story, from the previous 'repair shop' which 'professional' removed the LAN chip and some surounding components. I offered him a repair, but he only want to get rid of the Xbox and sold me it for a good price.

I appreciate your videos. I wonder if you have come a cross this, UART shows DRR4 issue. Is this near the ssd controller above as only 1 there. I understand ps5 has DDR6 not DDR4? What is your take on this. Can this DDR4 be changed from another board or game over? Can you change 1 RaM with other the make from diffent ps5 board. I have seen people changing them with same Ram. It so not clear whether this can be done.

Thank you. The one single chip for the SSD controller is a DDR4 and the eight main RAM ics for the APU are GDDR6. You can replace every single RAM ics with one from a donor board. The only thing the eight GDDR6 RAMs must be the same brand/type and can't be mixed.

It is really a pain. XD It took me aprox 30 min from the first glas piece to the point where I could flip the most part of the touchscreen up.

What temp do you set your preheater for this?

I try to get 150°C in the pcb where I want to solder. The setting for the preheater is a bit higher (~200°C).

Thanks. :) apu, tpm, disc drive SIE and some of the ssd chips are not changeable. All other components are swappable even the NOR with its infos like serial number, macs,...

@stetofix I did not open my controller, but my paddle is positively broken at the part where you showed. It will randomly trigger without input and with input.

At the point where I had the Xbox on my desk: Yes. The only thing I got, was the OL on this one cap at the Drmos. But I think there was previously a short on the 12V rail. At 2:44 where I'm showing the discolored board, five caps were missing.

Quality repair. You have just executed what I've been thinking on how to repair those axel's, Drill out and use a correct diameter metal dowel, I've been waiting for one to turn up but never has. Also using a original tactile button as well! Excellent! 🤘

Thanks. :) I was a bit surprised that this axel's are a weak point at the 200€+ controller which have exchangeable analogsticks. Found similar cases where the rocker axel's broke. Seems that Sony found a solution for one problem but create in the same move another problem...

Yes, it would be nice to have a fitting stencil for every ic. But sometimes it is quicker to reball by hand instead of waiting for a stencil to be delivered. :)

Danke schön. :) Dass einer der Powermosfets durch ist, habe ich immer wieder. Bisher auch tatsächlich viel Glück gehabt, so dass ich mit dem Messen der umliegenden Komponenten den fehlerhaften ausmachen konnte ohne große Auslötaktionen.

@@stetofix hatte auch einen Defekten am powermosfet. Allerdings auf der 12v rail. Aber jetzt ist immernoch irgendwo was defekt. Immer noch beep on beep off.

@@stetofix just so you know, uart is produced by the Southbridge. You got uart output, there was no need to change the Southbridge. Have you verified 5v out on the hdmi? , and also, there are some small coupling capacitors near the apu that pass signals to the hdmi encoder. If they are faulty, there will be no display.
