So many PS5 repair videos I’ve seen lately have cracked corners on the APUs 🧐

Very true. Beside the new modell, where the the heatsink is poorly glued to the holding bracket, which causes a very nice lever to press uneven on the APU top, if become loose, I'm wondering what is the cause at the older modells, where in my experience the heatsink shows no noticeable movement.

Moin. Als UART Device nutze ich den CH341A Adapter mit 3.3V Mod. Es gibt allerdings auch eine lötfreie Variante als 3,3V-1,8V Adapter, der in den CH341A eingesetzt wird. Moin. Die Test-Punkte findest Du je nach Modell in der Nähe des WiFi Chips. Hier beim 1216B befinden sie sich neben dem Lüfteranschluß. (kzbin.info/www/bejne/jnimeniursyZfsU). SW = GND, WS = TX (-> RX Adapter), GRN = TX (-> RX Adapter). Das Programm ps5-wee-tools kannst Du bei GitHub.com runterladen: github.com/andy-man/ps5-wee-tools. Alternatives Programm mit integrierter Fehlerausgabe: github.com/amoamare/PS5CodeReader. Hi. The CH341A must be modified from 5V to 3.3V on the TX line. If 5V are reaching the PS5 southbridge, the sb will stop and not respond. Here is a link to a forum, where I posted infos: www.tronicsfixforum.com/t/ps5-uart-usb-serial-reader-ch314a-3-3v-mod/12143

Hello, what is the reason for reporting 808011FF? Is it not connected properly?

A 808011xx error appears if a or some GDDR6 ram ics are removed from the mainboard. A 'FF' at the end would indicate that all eight ram ics have a problem. I still don't know what exact line from a ram ic must be interrupted to cause this error.

I often try to replace 8 RAM, but the problem still hasn't been solved, it's still the same as before😢😢😢
