Its the cheap Chinese bullshit hose. And there's no filter inside the 13 dollar filter. Had to take mine apart and clean the black crap out of mine.

Propane is very clean as it is delivered to appliances in a vapor form. Not liquid. It's not the propane causing this issue. It's the hose. Buy a hose not made out of rubber or use a filter.

I bought a Mr. Buddy heater with hose and filter. It ran great. I tried it this year and had a lot of problems. I blew everything out and put on a new filter. Now it seems to be working ok. I would say , change the filter every year before operating.

Hey I’m wondering about buying this kit for my m5-111 and it’s having constant regen. How’s the tractor been holding up since you’ve put the kit in? Any problems?
@OldBarkerRanch19814 күн бұрын
So your timing is amazing! Literally yesterday 4DPF called me and they have produced a performance tuner for the Kabota tractors. They are sending me one for testing and review. Since putting the emulator delete there has been almost 300 hours put on the tractor. Zero, I repeat, ZERO problems! Couldn’t be happier with it! Went through a tough hay season and never slowed down! Worth every penny in my book! Stay tuned for an update video and a video on the performance tuner! I should have the tuner this week.

I do believe that I have the same problem with a Mr.Heater. The unit does not have any flame at all. I opened a new 20 pounder by removing a blue safety cap and connected the regulator to the tank. THE unit did not even show a flame at all. NO FLOW. When I removed the hose regulator connector from the tank I heard a pulse of pressure. SO I do believe the gas is not getting to the orifice where the flame should be burning blue. I will try to clean out the line and see what I can get. Buying used stuff does have its drawbacks. Peace vf Happy New Year OBR. Nice video too Sir. 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀

I just recently took my dpf out and pressure washed it and its been working perfectly ever since. But theres always the worry that these parts rust and not working some day so i can understand deleting them. Ive thought about getting this kit but ive also heard that you can just drill holes in the dpf and everything still works. IDK Im not brave enough to try it but I geuss if you did drill it out and things went bad you could buy this kit. Any thoughts?

unless you use the mr heater 10' hose, you need a filter or the oil from the other mr heater hoses will deposit oil in it and eventually it wont even fire

Funny Observation: Mr Heater warns NOT to have an external tank in the same room as the heater lest the tank leak & kill everyone in the room AND/OR the heater light off the gas with its burner & burn everyone to death. Gotcha. HOWEVER, My little buddy heater has a pocket in the side to put a 1lb bottle just INCHES from the flame. What? 1lb bottles never leak? I think not. !
@purgeyou24 күн бұрын
Hate these heaters. They never work when I need them. Going to try one of those Amazon jobs that just hook right up to the tank. No hoses or any of that BS.

My 690 was pretty new, but over winter crankcase filled up with two gallons of gas, didn't figure it out because couldn't really see the clear gas when checked oil dipstick, anyways, after trying to start it a while, then noticing that, I had blown a ton of black oil into exhaust, shooting/dripping out, smoking. Changed oil, gas, plugs, gas filter, carb, couldn't ever get it to run again, almost, but..... compression test I just did shows 130 psi right side (dipstick side), and 75 psi left side. So I think that's what your motor is like, the same side as mine is the low compression side. I don't know if I can figure to tear down and rebuild or save for new engine, or call a shop for a quote for ring job. Oh ya, when I poured a couple tablespoons of oil in spark plug hole and tried compression test, it went from 75 to 125 psi, that's why I think it's the rings. Haven't removed valve cover or anything. Thanks for vid, nice garage/shop!
@OldBarkerRanch198124 күн бұрын
Thanks! It’s definitely worth the rebuild! It goes back together the same way it came apart. Rings and bearings are cheap… it’s the labor that almost always makes the job so expensive. Do it yourself and save that cost! What’s the worst, it doesn’t work? So you are out maybe 100$ in parts.

I just use their recommended "oil-free" hose & 2 winters it's worked every time, every day hooked to a 20# tank. I use the BIG Buddy with 2 ceramic heating elements. 18,000 btu on the high setting.

Thanks for the detail. I have a 45 horse LS with error codes leading to the DPF garbage. What is interesting is all the fuel it takes to perform a regen and all the smoke and trash that comes out of the exhaust. How is that "environmentally friendly" (Idiots!). Another money grab from big industry to pacify the environmentalist groups.

The more flexible the hose, the more oil it contains. The oil leeches out when the hose is pressurized.

YES ... IM ON MY 2ND BUDDY. READY FOR A THIRD. I HAVE TO BLOW MINE OUT EVERY COUPLE RELIGHTS. JUST KEEP GOING OUT. WITH THE GOOD BLUE FLAME, i only used it on the 4.4gallons tanks. if it dont work i use a brass brush clean the whole area, then blow it out with a small air compressor blower. and it works. i seen someone pulled the hose off red button depressed and blow it out backwards. have not tried that yet. im not mobile so it difficult for me to get that far into it. I’m completely for leaving a better world for my grandchildren but some of this stuff is unnecessarily inconvenient for the small number of people who don’t use these engines professionally. I average 50 hours a year on my tractor and believe that there should be an exemption for this amount of use. Currently I have a pre-emission year tractor and one that was deleted before I purchased it. I have more guilt about my gas powered lawn tractor, log splitter and chainsaws.

At the end of the day, diesel engines burn pretty darn clean. The black smoke is basically un-burned fuel. Carbon that just goes back into the ground.
