I am yet to have finished the video, but dual wielding Needlers felt so good against those pesky bullet sponge brutes. Needlers turned into something I'd actively hunt for among grunts.

There really is not anything wrong with the Mauler other than its scarcity. The only issue is that there are just better options. If it could be found lying around more often, it would probably be C tier.

Homie you can run halo 2/3 in classic graphics and with mods on a cheap secondhand PC thats released in the last 8 years with bluetooth/usb controller support. Mods are never gonna come to console we got some half assed mod workshop on bethesda games that came to console but that was a one and done it aint happening again its a lot of work and its not worth it. Get a pc in your house or quit bitching lol. Everyone should have a basic pc anyways and halo 2 will def run on it

“We all know the multiplayer version”? The Fuel Rod cannon wasn’t in the original game. The differences are probably because gearbox added extra things to the multiplayer and butchered it along with several graphical errors in the pc port

CE really had the best weapon roster. If the needler was slightly better I would say that every weapon would be perfect for its role. Back before battle rifles and DMRs just took over the series and strramlined the weapon variety.

For the multiplayer list, use OG 360. The MCC port has hit detection issues. You can’t get kills with the sword for example…

I'm 31 and been playing regularly since i was 8 when it came out. I have seen nothing but purple fuel rod canons in CE. On the flip side it makes sense to not just randomly decide they're gold in the second game. Idk. 🤷‍♂️

This list drives home how right I was about the Brute Shot, Grav Hammer, and Fuel Rod Cannon, and how I slept on the Carbine

brute plasma rifles are good in the Tartarusin the final fight, that's about it

I like dual welding magnums in multiplayer because it stretches your range out farther than the AR so it's better than the AR if you're halfway decent at headshots

The Halo 3 assault rifles biggest weakness is it's sound effects. It makes it sound and feel weaker than it actually is.

9:00 This doesn't work in MCC. If you get to this location in old graphics, then switch to new graphics, you will actually see that sniper room because microsoft love rendering unnecessary polygons out of bounds so that the game runs worse than it has to. However, the trigger volume is either made smaller, or they cull it entirely. I believe in this instance that the box is smaller, and so getting to it may require you to do some sort of out of bounds glitch.

Sadly weapons like the BR and Carbine are basically what 343 think of as being Halo now since they make an effort to cater to those weapons while killing old classic weapons like the plasma rifle.

The Assault Rifle and SMG are also excellent weapon versus Drones. If, for some reason, you can't use machine gun turrets, the Assault Rifle and SMG are your next best options. Also, more related to multiplayer, but the AR is very underrated when it comes to one-on-one fights in close range. Yeah, it does get a little out-paced by the BR in mid-range, and certain weapon pickups can invalidate the AR's niche. But so long as you lead your shots, and follow up with grenades or melee when necessary, you can confidently confirm a lot of your kills.

I hope you're also accounting for alternating fire with dual maulers, in the clips you fire them both at once which doesn't feel like the most optimal way to use them Personally i think alternating is better because it helps negate the firerate issues while circumventing the damage penalty (assuming it only applies when firing both at the same time, i admit i don't know if it does or not)

I never realized the Frag Grenade actually has a larger blast radius then the Plasma. With the longer detonation and particle effects i always assumed it had a massive blast radius.

Carbine was insane, in Halo 2 and 5 it was the greatest.

The assault rifle had such a downgrade from halo 1 which is kinda sad

You know the headshot thing to hunters, I removed it and instead needle super combine on them and plasma grenade stick are the things that 1 hit kill them(do take note) in my mod a small balance was needles and the plasma grenade can't attach to their armor, only on their skin

The flamethrower was at first thought to be god tier on release….which quickly became the worst weapon to use.
