It's been on my mind for a while. I'll be honest; I've been majorly crunched for time lately, and good tomato sauce takes time. (Plus the gluten barrier gets me sometimes.) I've got my eyes on some gnocchi and some tomato sauces eventually.

Here's my recipe for Veggie Nachos: Grate Cheese, dice tomatoes and onions while preparing Soyrizo according to package instructions. Heat Black beans. 1. Chips 2. Cheese 3. Soyrizo 4. Black Beans 5. Roasted Red Bell Peppers 6. Tomatoes 7. Onions 8. Jalapeños 9. Joe T Garcia's salsa 10. Ortega Taco Sauce After one to two minutes of sautéing the Soyrizo and heating the black beans remove from heat. Lay chips down on a plate in one layer then layer chips with cheese, Soyrizo, Black Beans, roasted red bell peppers, diced onions, jalapeños, salsa and taco sauce. Microwave for 90 seconds Then place the following on top Sour Cream Tomatoes

@@sharene411 You could probably “nacho” up the beans with the seasoning. Mushrooms or tofu are also an option. I’d have to fiddle to get them tasting “meaty” enough for my personal preference, but there’s certainly options.

Looks great! When I get homesick (I live a couple thousand miles from my parents now) I just cook a recipe that reminds me of my mom's cooking cooking. We only really had a few things we ate growing up, but they were tasty. I was a bit surprised to find that in recent years my mom has gotten far more invested in cooking and trying new things. She still indulges me by cooking something nostalgic whenever I am in town. Eating my mom's cooking is just something that comforts me somehow. My dad also did a lot of the cooking, but my nostalgia with him is going to our favorite restaurants together more than anything. Whenever I am in town with him, we always hit up the old haunts. I'm glad I'll be in town to see them in just a couple weeks.

potato starch and msg are my favorite things to cook with. never thought about frying a smoked turkey wing but it looks like it turned out alright. frying in large quantities of oil is scary. great first attempt on the wings lol even if its just to say "i fried a smoked turkey wing"😂

I'd use a non-smoked turkey part. The smoke overpowers the breading. Also, cut the salt. The flavored salt are plenty.

You can also melt chocolate in short bursts in the microwave. And if you don't have tongs, a fork or chopsticks would get the bacon out of the chocolate. Try it with semisweet chocolate, too. It will be a great contrast to the caramel.

I clicked on this because thought this was going to be hilariously awful, but I'm totally sold. That looks great. I'm British and British bacon is usually back bacon, which tends to be thicker and meatier and probably wouldn't work with chocolate at all. We do though also have what we call 'streaky' bacon which seems to be the same thing as American bacon and I can totally see how that could work. I'm going to try this now!
