It's technically not in Branson but the Osage Restaurant up at Top of the Rock is probably one of the top 3 restaurants in Branson. It isn't cheap but some of the dishes are incredible and the view is outstanding.

I grew up in Rockaway. It's sad to see what it is today compared to the 80's & 90's. It was a super fun little town back then, and I always heard it was a great resort town goin back even to the 40's. I always joked that if I won one of those billion dollar lotteries, I would buy the entire town and level everything except the Pizza Cellar (on the left side at 09:15) and start over. 🤣

I unfortunately never saw it in any of those days but I've heard that from a number of people. I've also wondered about the Pizza Cellar. It's an interesting looking place and I've wondered if I should try it. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!

@@findushere "The Cellar" as the locals call it is an institution in Taney Co. It's a "dive bar" in every sense of the word, but also happens to have some pretty dang good pizza (which oddly enough is a "Chicago Tavern Style"). The Cellar has a charm to it that can only be explained by growing up going there. I've been going since the early 80's and it still looks, feels, and smells the same as it did back then. Aside from a modern jukebox and the ability to take credit cards, it's like a time capsule.

It’s so unrecognizable to me. Last time I was there was in 1981. It started with coming into Branson with the Hi Ho motel and starving Marvins on the left side of the strip and it dead ended at Sammy lanes boat dock on Lake Taneycomo. Hard anything I recognize. The only shows was the Plummer Family, the Presley‘s , the bob o links , the balbknobers, foggy mountain boys.

Wow that brings back memories! You are so right. It's nothing like that now and interestingly it built up around all the shows and theaters and is now evolving again into a much more family oriented entertainment center. Thanks for watching the video and taking the time to comment! I wish I had video of that 1981 Branson!

It has been eight to ten years since I was last there. It is interesting to see the changes. Much of it is recognizable, but the newer stuff seems to be built on a grander scale than the park of my youth. I can remember when SDC competed with Dogpatch USA. Now it competes with Six Flags and other major parks. Thanks for sharing this.

It had been a few years for me as well and I also found it to be on a much bigger scale than the park I last saw. I think it has a nice balance of rides for younger kids and thrill rides while maintaining the Ozark Mountain craft village feel. Thanks as always for watching and commenting!

@findushere
@findushere 7 күн бұрын
I liked it a lot. I did have a weird thing happen while we were there. They moved our waitress to a different part of the restaurant and somehow lost us in the shuffle and although we had placed our order, no one was servicing us! After I finally realized something wasn't right I alerted the hostess and they quickly worked it out. The food was very good though and I think this was a random occurrence and certainly nothing intentional. I would go back.

I'm sure you know, but your viewers might be interested to know the Ruth and Paul Henning Conservation Area is named for the creator of the TV show "The Beverly Hillbillies" and his wife. They lived in the Branson area before then. They gave the truck from the show to the Ralph Foster Museum on the College of the Ozarks campus in Branson and visitors can see it there. I'm looking forward to next week's video of the rest of Silver Dollar City.

Thank you! The walking is recorded with a GoPro Hero 9 mounted on a simple extending selfie stick. With stabilization and horizontal leveling turned on, there is no need for a gimble. In fact since I got my iPhone 14 Pro, I have quit using a gimble with it as well. Stabilization is unbelievable with the new technology. The main thing I have to think about with the GoPro 9 without a gimbal is to not make fast left and right pans. Thanks for watching and continuing to support the channel!

Really would like to see menu options for kids change! Ugh. My kids are in their late 30’s & the options are still just as ridiculous as they ever were. I get it that kids don’t eat the best all the time, but those choices are careless imo. I’m talking generally speaking. It’s most restaurants.
