As someone who is currently looking its a fascinating and timely video. It's tough because in my head I think that the 490 is the pick. Better to take to places like Moreton Is but speaking to experienced people who go travelling a bit.... well they all say you will regret not getting a hybrid or straight to caravan. I guess you got to listen to those with experiences.
@SmartTouringSystems13 сағат бұрын
Yeah it’s a hard one for sure, we have been using the 490 a lot lately and it’s a great unit, and are enjoying the more camping feel of it.

I saw your 79 at the Sydney 4x4 show today, it's a great rig mate. I love the Gworks tray and canopy (compliments to them on a great product) and I know what I will be getting when I receive my 79.

Why did you offset the winch control box ?
@SmartTouringSystemsКүн бұрын
There are sensors in the centre of the grille. And I also like the look of it. Cheers for watching.
@seabee167Күн бұрын
Okay, I've mounted my winch control dead centre on top of a bullbar and it doesn't affect the sensor, so if you do add a bar it's ok dead centre. Cheers mate I enjoy both your channels.

Just saw it at the Brisbane expo. Under $100k and $90k with expo deal. 👍 Great concept for sure. My favourite at the show by far. Love the lithium set up. I would also love to see a composting option. The new Joocla one looks impressive. Cost effective and portable. I would also love to see at least a gas bayonet under the induction kitchen as a redundancy for low solar input days and for those who love gas cooking so a small gas cooker can be used or as others have said 1 gas/1induction Well done.

I love the Barrington Tops. We camped there about 3 or 4 years ago and only for 3 night also as we had no 12 volt or fridge then only esky's and ice. One thing I have noticed since then is that Google maps have changes 2 of the camp site names. Where you and Google Maps said was Banksia is actually Dilgry River and vise versa. Check the address's. Anyway we stayed 1st night there, 2nd night at Horse Swamp and 3rd at Polblue. We visited Little Murray's and Junction Pools and we were in the clouds, it was so awesome seeing such a beautiful spot and being in the clouds. We have some videos of that trip on our channel if you're interested. Anyway nice video it looked like you had a great time.

If you actually consider what these vehicles are designed for mining applications and farming agricultural use they are the perfect vehicle ideal in all aspects. I’m sick of hearing people bag them out and no I don’t own one but I do like Toyota. At the end of the day, they are a workhorse, and that’s what they are supposed to be

Another Great Video. Nice to see the family getting out into the bush and enjoying themselves. Winter is a good time for camping. Put plenty of clothes on and light a fire. Camp oven stew or a roast and veggies. Jaffle iron toasty or mash mellows on the fire. Very few flies in winter also.

Guys. Don’t be scared to add water to your roast. As much as required during cooking process (little by little) so at the end you’re left with decent liquid on bottom for a bit of sauce or gravy. And nothing gets burnt

You’re lucky in NSW. In Qld it’s an offence to even possess a chainsaw in a national park. Nor are we allowed to use them in state forests in QLD.

Yes really - or machetes. You can only take a small axe
@lastknownlocation876016 күн бұрын
Fires and appliances Fires are only permitted in existing QPWS constructed fireplaces. Fires must be extinguished when unattended. Firewood must not be collected. Appliances such as axes can only be used to split firewood or drive tent pegs. Machetes are not permitted in a protected area, State forest or forest reserve. Visit softly Remember smoking restrictions now apply! Take your rubbish with you. The use of chainsaws and firearms is not permitted. Always camp with care-look after yourself and the environment. Respect historic sites and First Nations peoples' culture-rock art and other culturally significant remnants within parks and forests are easily damaged and are irreplaceable.

@@lastknownlocation8760 What the authorities don't know won't hurt them. If you're travelling full time and have all that gear in your ute/4wd/trailer, and don't take them out and don't use them then no harm no foul. It's pretty unreasonable to make arbitrary laws/rules and not expect people travelling full time to have these items with them, but common sense does dictate that any reasonable person wouldn't go flaunting these around nor use them in areas they aren't allowed, please note I did say common sense, and I do know that is very rare these days.
