Hey guys, my wife and I just got back from a Blue Mts trip. One great camp we had was Glen Davis Camp Ground about 30mins east of the Capertee pub between Lithgow and Mudgee. There is a free camp there with hot showers and toilets ND ALSO A national park camp near by. The old houses and ruins of the Shale Oil refinery and fascinating.

Great video guys, again despite the cold. Your editing, music choices and editing is brilliant. I Did most of that 20 odd years ago and there was alot of free camping around that Newnes, Lithgo Glow worm tunnel area. I can see quite a few things have changed and been upgraded..... possibley locked off. I camped in a -6°c up there once, so i know what your talking about...👍

Great video! Admiring your fliming, editing and story-telling skills. After recently discovering your channel, I can see you're really putting the effort in and continually improving to keep it interesting. I also appreciate that you share real moments. As anyone with kids knows... holidays / camping with kids is far from sunshine and flowers all the time. We also went camping (mid July) but we were further north... near Ebor Falls (western edge of the NSW range). My goodness it was cold and windy, sounded like a freight train roaring through every few minutes as the wind rushed through the forest. Made it hard to sleep! I can very much relate to your experience. Even though we (thought we) were well prepared for the cold, the wind was something else. Anyway, just wanted to give you a thumbs up for the effort you put in to create high quality videos. Looking forward to the next one!

What beautiful destinations you visited, well done on braving the freezing temperatures for as long as you did. I’m not into heights either I attempted to walk across the Story Bridge in Bne years ago alone, I got a third of the way out and froze from fear, I had to crawl back with my eyes closed on a galvanised platform. I was feeling the girls trepidation during those rides and heights. You guys are amazing, keep it up, and come north in our winter..at least you will escape The Antarctic winds.

I live and work in the Blue Mountains and have been to all these places. The long walk down the stairs isn't too bad but all I can think about is the long steep walk back again. In the early days people would walk down into the Jamison Valley and in the late afternoon would walk to the base of the now scenic railway. In those days it went right to the valley floor and the Jamison Valley didn't look like it does now for all the cliff sides had been cleared of vegetation. The tree trunks were used as pit props in the coal mines. The miners would help people into the mine skips giving them an empty chaff bag to kneel or sit on for the ride to the top. Later when they started carrying people two elderly ladies asked the brakeman at the top if the cable breaks how long does it take for the car to stop. His answer was 5 seconds and thus reassured they climbed aboard. The 5 seconds would be how long it took to reach the valley floor on a wild out of control ride, but he didn't tell them that though. I think the today's scenic railway should go right to the valley floor so people weary of walking in the depths of the valley could use it to reach the top easily. The Glow worm Tunnel once had the trains from the Commonwealth Oil Corporation running through them where they mined oil bearing shale and refined it on site. It was a full size refinery in the depths of an extremely rugged valley. People who rode the trains would often get out before the tunnels and walk through the bush to rejoin the train beyond the two tunnels as the ride on the train through the tunnels was a coughing and gasping experience as the Shay locos produced lots of choking coal smoke as the steamed slowly up the 1 in 25 gradient through the tunnels. Later a petrol powered railmotor was provided. Oddly enough in the early days one of the byproducts of the refining process was petrol but this was in the era of the horse and cart and with no use for the petrol it was poured into the Wolgan River. In those far of days environmental concerns?, what are those.

I'm also going to have a chat to Tourism NSW, you've been mislead, the scenic railway is not the steepest in the world, I used to go on one in Devon, England, as a kid which is still there and it's 57 degrees!! I highly recommend that for you one day, you then get a fantastic Devonshire tea 😁

I started following you since wayback when you got the Titanium. I remember you had issues with your DCS POS. Just now realising you are an ambassador or being sponsored by them. I've unsubscribed from your channel as i won't support someone supporting a company like that. DCS has left a sour taste with me since my rubbish DCS battery was rejected for warranty within it's 1st year!! Also how they are handling themselves now. Thanks for all the fish 👍

Sorry to hear your bad experience and respect your decision to unsubscribe. When we had issues with our batteries, DCS helped us out to get them fixed and we found their back-up support to be very good. This was well before any free products and we paid full stick for the batteries. I am watching this space closely and find it very frustrating that it has to affect us like it has in this instance.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but your original reply above seems to be edited. Replying to your 'original' edited comment of waiting for the court ruling/result to make comment is a cop out. Really disappointing to see, I thought you were better than that.
