The Les Paul is like a Bugatti, great for around town and always in the shop getting that G string fished out. The Tele is like a land Cruiser. When you have to jump on the L or a plane, it just goes anywhere, takes a lickin and keeps on tickin.

I have played since I was 10 yrs old and I have never felt the need to make a face when I play . I’m 59 yrs young now and I can play faster and better than this man and when I was his age I could play a lot better . My fingers have been broken from racing motorcycles , mountain bikes and fighting or karate sometimes karaoke lol leads to fights . No one ever plays “ A whole lotta love right “ I gave my band mates permission to kick me off the stage if I ever contort 😫 my face

I own a real 1959 and 3 R9s and that guitar sounds like the worst Les Paul I have ever heard . It looks like a Chinese knock off ❤️💯

I picked one up,Chinese copy...they had the old weak 62 pick up copies...and ....they nailed it...SRV played fairly clean ,he loved that chunky strat sound on a fender amp...what I notice is the middle pick up giving it that reedy twang.. apparently I need a 808 box to finish this deal for the scream but I am ecstatic with this one...oh,,,, there is a ton of tweaking but the tone of the tone!!!!

10 - 46 for years. Love them on electric. But just tried 9 - 42 electric strings ony acoustic. So good that i have to try on electric. I love BB King bends but I think whatever you require it should be 9 or 10 to 42 or 46. I have still to try 8s. Sometimes its the 234 strings that matter most.

Interesting!! In January this year I found a PRS that I love too. I'll bring it over next time and you can have a go. I now understand what all the "fuss" is about 😂
Every guitarist needs: a Strat, a Les Paul, a Tele, and an SG. With those 4 guitars, you can play anything. Grouped by pair: Strat & Les Paul, or Tele & SG.

You also need a gretsch filtertron, p90, lipstick pickup and mini humbucker pickup guitar oh and a semihollow body guitar!

I can only just barely tolerate PRS’s without the ‘frilly’ fret inlays… I don’t know what it is?! Maybe a combo of the headstock shape and fret inlays?! Yeah, not for me 👍

Tele all the way; Ive owned a Fender Lead III, A Squire Strat, an Epiphone Les Paul custom... The Paul was heavy, had an awkward weight bias, small body, arched top and a dense, creamy sound with a lot of sustain. Fine for rock, sitting on the bed at home and jamming to heavier stuff, but ill suited to other genres. I sold it. Bought theTelecaster and was immediately in love with it: chimy, punchy, barky, twangy. Much better suited to the Americana, Dylan/Folk and Bluegrass I play with friends.

Hey man, I’m flying out of Heathrow in January to Nashville! When I last tried saying to the staff at the oversized baggage there was no possible way I could gate check my acoustic. Do you have any advice to bypass this?

Bonjour mon ami Michael, I am getting into a place where I am feeling far more comfortable navigating across those 5 shapes.. However, those keys are in the key of A right? So if the song is in the key of C or F or G, for example, I struggle and tend to get confused. As I have to visualize the same shapes 2 ,3 or 4 frets up and down those scales. How do you work this out?
