I never fished artificial..board carp fishing I did the same started throwing a white grub. I cought several bass and bluegill. I have a tackle box full of artificial lures now.

Yea I enjoyed catching those smallies never caught me out of the river definitely gonna go back and do that again some time and yea sometimes there a lot darker then that down but those ones were lighter color

any knife is going to be bad cutting bait on rocks you need to get a small cutting board, you will ruin a good knife on the rocks

I thought a floating minnow bucket was to put your live bait in it throw it in the water so they stay alive 😂 you might wanna try it they'll stay alive a lot longer

They stay alive forever in the bucket with the bubbler the only reason that one was bout dead cause it was about dead in the live well

Yea that’s exactly true I don’t ever keep cats out of the river flats blues or channels especially when there 50Ibs idk why anyone would wanna keep or take one of those from there natural habitat that flathead has been living in that river it’s hole life crazy to think that too but yea I appreciate you watching the video.

I do if I’m on a steep mud bank or sandbar but there’s rock all over this spot and I just prop poles up on em most of em are stable

Always liked bait fishing as much as catfishing, don't know what you'll catch. My best baits were green sunfish, bullheads and creek chubs, well long-eared sunfish worked pretty good at times, the orange colored ones you know, those things are about everywhere too. There's big Carp in Rocky Fork, huge Carp.

I couldn't get a bite at paint creek or pike lake. I haven't been since right before the hurricane hit though. Just found a baitshop in pike county that sells yellow belly bullhead minnows

If you don't mind me asking where do you live now exact address just town I live in Chillicothe Ohio I fish the sciota river for small mouth bass and sauger walleyes saugeye and any thang else that hits . Most of the time right behind the dorsal fin just cause flathead usually strike a bait head first ik some people hook ‘em in the mouth which that’s fine that works I’ve done it like that but me personally I’ve noticed a big difference right there behind dorsal thanks for watching as well.

Need to get away from worms / nightcrawlers when bait fishing. Wax worms is best. Don't get me wrong they work but waxworms are key for baitfishing.

Hey bud after this resent hurricane.after the rain we had really didnt raise the river up .me i havent had much lick there ive been fishin deercreek mostly .its still way down still .great us ohio ins got some much needed rain . Alot of places are being hard to catch .like i said with more rain and peps catchin itll come with the rains .catchem up 😎
