Another great video. The slip bobber rig is a great weapon in the arsenal for catching a limit of crappie.😊 it’s a great learning tool to find your Jig on livescope . This is a forgotten technique in the world of high tech crappie fishing . This is a very effective technique I have used this for many years . If you can cast net some live small shad it it unstoppable . 😊 Thight lines my friends .

Do you have any problems with the rubber bobber stops when casting? You might also explain the difference in the different sized bobber stops.

Depends on the eyes on the rods but not really kinda like a braid to leader knot coming through.

Great video Steven. I would recommend anyone wanting to learn how to use FFS reach out as I did this spring and have Steven show you exactly what he is talking about in this video. I went out with Steven 10 times on my boat from March to May this year and learned something new that shortened the learning curve on how to catch slabs consistently. It would have taken years for me to learn what I learned from Steven first hand in those 10 trips!

Good stuff! I've only had mine a few weeks but I've had great success with it alteady! I'll be setup on a brush pile, catchin some, periodically scanning around with the ducer. It happens quite often that you see a nice big blob all by itself, alot of times with a 10ft pole you can just reach over and drop it down to him and he slams it. So far, I've noticed you're absolutely right, those are the bigger fish.

thats all it takes is one scan around and find that big one just waiting for ya

What size jig would you use for bobber fishing?

Depends how deep but 1/32-1/24 and a splitshot for a silpcork rig. If throwing a weighted cork 1/64 or 1/32

@slaakzyt favorite hands down the little minnow. But here lately the micro minnow has been doing good on my home lake. Chartreuse and monkey milk are really all I throw unless I'm testing. Other colors def work fine just a confidence thing.
