I'm from the Charleston area. You speak the truth..the exact thing happened to me today with bait fish everywhere, only caught a few crappie and some brims, plenty of bass busting that bait up. This seems to hole true wherever you are, because I'm in Southern Florida and today I fished a canal in a kayak, everywhere I went... tons of bait fish. Ryans Buffet? Man, I haven't heard that name in a very very long time you had me cracking up on that reference. 🙂@@realcmj

Hi, my lake is here near Cashiers North Carolina, Glenville lake. It is clear. Most of the year, I could not prove there was a crappie in it. Howeverrrrrrr.....as it gets cold, I catch huge crappie. 18" three pounds plus... Herring are the baitfish. I am listening to everything you say, as I want to find these crappie on purpose, regularly. Thanks for your channel. George.

Clear lakes are normally very deep we have 2 that I have fished that would be lake monicello and lake hartwell if you have alot of floating docks I would start there but 30+ deep isn't far fetched when it's clear

the lake is deep. no real current either. wind causes some at island points. I catch some of the biggest yellow perch I have ever seen in there too. some over two pounds. Almost always, they are gagged full of tiny clams.@@realcmj

I fish deep. I find fish at the deep weed line edge in the summer and around stumps and rock piles in 26-40 feet as it gets colder.@@realcmj

I will fish the docks this week. I find that if I fish as though I caught em last time doing the thing I am trying, I have the best chance of success. confidence always is the best thing to put on a lure. thanks. @@realcmj

I fished in 20 feet of clear water last week during the full moon and those crappie I did see were at 10' and NOT biting! I think they must have fed on shad all night long and were stuffed.

Just got off the lake and went to my normal 3 spots where I know there is brush from 12-20 feet and I only caught 2 crappie all day. Loaded with bluegill instead. So it was frustrating. Tried to find more brush but wasn’t successful. On lake Murray over by hwy 378 bridge

Yeah we have been having the bluegill issue also normally if I catch 2 I keep on moving. I don't have but a few brush in that area that I know I only go there when they on the marina lol

It all starts with that graph on your console etc if u can read that u can find the crappie SI is just important to me as FFS ...been catching some nice ones in bama but u gotta hold it on there nose ..good info man 👍

I feel the crappie man green little stinker just glows down there on a black jig head. And the crappie man green ans pearl little minnows about the same. We caught about 20 little creek smallies on those, havent gotten to a crappie spot yet but i know they will hit it
