Oh no, this happened last year but I'm so sorry for your loss. :( The pain of losing someone to death will never disappear, but it only gets better and slightly less painful over time. I hope things are better and get even better for you now. 🫂

Oooh now this is the kind of journal I'm looking for! Not just entirely aesthetic to the point it doesn't have any meaning, you decorate and write the page and there's a personal symbolism in each one of it. Not that it's wrong to have a journal purely for aesthetic just for fun, but I personally love journals like this. I just received a vintage themed journal and wanted to start journaling myself, so I looked up journal videos to get some inspirations and this. is. IT!! Thank you for your hard work on this video, will watch more of your content!

Hello Gentle Nest! First off I’d like to say that I love your videos! The warm aesthetic is lovely and your art/creations are beautiful. I’m not sure if you are still checking your comments but I have two questions: 1. You use a sticker roll in this video which you mention yields the highest amount of stickers for the price, would you by any chance have the link where you bought those? I can’t find them anywhere! 2. Are you planning on making more videos in the future? Of course no pressure! But I just love your content and would love to see more! (In particular your journal with me videos, they are wonderful inspiration for me!)

I will try to hunt down a link for you (Aliexpress is always changing so trying to keep consistent links is a real pain 😤) - but I think I remember where I bought them so stay tuned for a link! And yes, I would love to keep making videos. I just haven’t had the time and wanted to really focus on journaling freely for a bit to let it evolve. But I hope that I can return soon! Back when I was in school we had to do this thing, we had pen pals from other schools and I would always be super extra and add a whole bunch of bright and pretty stuff and my pen pal would do the same back, this brought back memories🫧

Hi, Elena! There are all sorts of ways to journal, and you are actually approaching it so wonderfully ~ by asking these kinds of questions 🥰. The answer is ….it depends :). There’s really no wrong way to go about it, and the easiest way to get started is by asking yourself what you’d like to remember or discover through journaling. Some people journal to remember their history, so the topic is “what happened today”. But also many times journaling helps one discover things about themselves (such as trends in health or sleep patterns or goals and personal growth). I personally like to do all of these. So I actually keep several journals. They have different purposes. One is a diary. A diary is usually a place for private thinking, where you can record your inmost thoughts and desires, whether to keep a record of your life or to take counsel with yourself. I keep a diary separate from my main journal, in order to process through emotional times in my life (good or bad). Because it is private, it gives a lot of freedom of expression. Popular topics include writing about love interests, thoughts about who you want to be or how you feel about yourself and others, or about hard times. I like to pretend I’m writing to a most trusted friend about what’s on my mind lately. In contrast, the Hobonichi journal like the one I have shown, is great for recording events and details about the day I just lived. The topic varies, but I try to record what happened during the day. It’s like taking a photo ~ capturing a memory of how I lived. Over time I have found that certain memories I would have otherwise forgotten got saved because of my journals. It encourages me to see just how much happened in my past. Days that would otherwise be a blur in my mind get more clear through journaling. I hope it helps! Be free and explore! There’s no wrong way to journal and I hope you find the method that works best for you!

Watching your creative process really opened my mind. There are many beautiful journals like yours on Pinterest, but without the background of creation they can seem meaningless and make people think "wow this is not for me". But seeing the whole explanation, and the reasoning behind the choice of stickers and washis made me have a new vision about them and how to incorporate them in my journal without being pointless. And you still combine them with a writing style close to mine, of talking about interesting things in your day and reflecting on your thoughts and feelings, with a touch of affection and care. Beautiful. Very inspiring. I've watched the same videos over and over, I can't stop. Congratulations on the great channel, it's people like you that make youtube a great place!

I’ve been looking for good ideas on how to store my journaling supplies (right now they’re in bags and pouches because I don’t have the room for a desk in my place but will hopefully be moving to a bigger place soon) and I’m very impressed with your entire collection and how you’ve stored everything! I’m so glad you shared about the sticker books because I never would have thought of that! I also love your correspondence collection! My mom also has a collection of cards (a small collection 😂) and I’ve always wanted to do this! I absolutely love your entire set up and desk! Your collection is so impressive. I’ve been collecting stationary supplies for only about 2-3 years and I hope to have a collection like yours.
