What do you think of meat only diet? BTW, I am building and blackned MOD of a SPB185 with a NH36 day/date... never been happier with my mods, 10% of the price of a Prospex and the quality is almost as good.

- I completely understand the emotions of realtime broadcast radio. It feels like you’re with someone in witnessing the broadcasters performance in realtime. - If watches involved the taste sense like food does there’s no saying the collection size. There would be prescriptions to control it.

I too had the GI Joe helicopter. Walking all over my backyard pushing the black button to operate the blades. I hadn’t thought about that toy in forever. Thanks McMahon! I, too have anxiety about owning too many watches and having to wear them. I have pared my collection down to 4 watches and I still hear the watch noise.

Another great one. Ramble on, ( is there a song there? ) Watch and other noise--not quite the same as angst, maybe, but similar? Your updates on ChatGDP intriguing. Is it learning and adapting or are the algorithms just expanding? Did you ever get into Ham Radio operations? Grew up listening to the radio: FM, then AM when it ruled, and SW. Given the option prefer listening still to radio broadcasts of sports. Visualize. Admire your discipline to focus on your favorite five.

I found that tracking my watch wearing in a spreadsheet has helped me reduce my watch noise. I am in the process of losing weight (currently -37 lbs since the beginning of November, with a goal of losing 75 lbs total) and have been tracking my weight every morning with a little graph I've been refreshing daily. I added a "watch worn" tab to same excel file where I document which watch I wore the previous day. This has really helped me understand how often I'm likely to wear a a particular watch, or how often that watch would fit into my lifestyle/work scenarios, etc. That enables me to make an informed prediction about "cost per wear", which was a bit shocking when I saw the actual numbers. So often with watch noise, you find yourself thinking of a possible scenario where a watch could be perfect... and it isn't hard for us watch addicts to think of a possible second and third scenario... and then we've convinced ourselves it's a great investment. But seeing my ACTUAL watch wearing patterns has been a hedge against my brain's ability to conflate how much I'd wear the watch, and that has really helped me reduce the noise I used to experience everytime I see a new and interesting watch. Now, I just obsess over a very specific type of watch that would fit into my current work/lifestyle... but this is a noticeable and welcome improvement over my previous habit of obsessing over dozens of watches at any given time.

McMahon, the chin touch complainers should refer to that Dan Jones appearance on Bill Maher to see the consequences their wreckless commentary. His watch is out of frame most of the time and only comes into frame briefly while he's gesturing, and none of us can get the view we need. Bill Maher's production team should really be studying your videos and coaching their guests that the audience cannot understand what they are saying unless we can clearly see their watches.

Great watch...no doubt. I have had the silver 6004 and black 6005 references...had ended selling the black one because the all black scheme lost all the details. Have the Ti bracelet and the black silocone strap...both perfect. I could look like big...but the Ti and case design make it lost in your wrist. This model is known as the Citizen Kraken in the community and it is about the all diamond squeme on dial and insert that remember a kraken skin. Thank you Jeffrey for you review!

Yeah the Pelagos is a pretty awesome diver watch. I'm out of the market for watches now, but I did stop by a Tudor AD one day while killing time as my wife shopped and tried on the Pelagos 39 mm. I liked it A LOT. But not enough to part with $4500! I agree the Pelagos works best on its bracelet. Tudor provides you with a rubber strap that has to be worn with the bracelet's end-links that I didn't find particularly comfortable. The rubber was stiff and the look was kind of weird with the end-links installed.
