I was 238 the same time you were discussing you weight concerns. I limited carbs, exercised portion control and I run three miles a day sometimes with a weight vest. And I'm now 215. When I started I said I'd be 205 by the end of the year which probably won't happen but I'm gonna try.

Since October I went low carb/low sugar through a service my work offers, lost 19 pounds so far. Congrats my friend.

Crying watch guy is great , he’s definitely a watch store guy , probably the first channel that makes a close up video on all the latest Seiko citizen g shock and Casio Oceanus and many other JDM releases. Top tier content !

Happy Birthday and Congratulations on completing your book!! As a fellow SLA055 and 023 owner....I picked up the Pelagos FXD Black...got a custom personalized NATO and it hasn't left my wrist....Now I feel as if I'm cheating on my Seikos as they no longer receive the wrist time they once did.

Love your style of a few notes, genuine analysis, and connection. So many creators have obviously taken the “read the cgpt” route and it’s just sad. The art is suffering but you’re keeping it alive! Good on you, McMahon. Treat yourself to that black dial FXD.

15 years ago they amputated the wrong leg in RI.. just 2 months ago, a doctor in Florida removed a liver instead of a spleen.. and as for watch rehab.. you are still young, wait till you retire 😳.. it’s impossible! Much respect holding on to just 5.. shows it can be done!🫡

I went back to my first love in watches , seiko king turtle green with the green silicon strap. I have been on a carnivore lifestyle for 500 days. I went from 298 to 221 pounds, feeling much better now.

I had over 24 watches. Something happened which caused me to have to get rid of all of them except 4. It hurt real bad letting them all go. They were hundreds each some even more. I swore since I spent so much, I would never buy another one again because of the loss I took that day. Now I’m happy with my four watch collection.

Hi Jeff, I fell off the wagon while you were absent. I bought another SEIKO, the ssk033 5KX sport GMT. It compliments my sla021 well, so that I can appreciate both of them more. I'm really enjoying it, now I'm thinking about getting the orange one too, ssk005. Lord grant me the serenity...

Sad state of affairs when everyone is cheating with AI. A sign of the lowering of standards. Best get everyone in for written exams with no electronics, might have to use their brains. Try writing with a fountain pen on paper.

Happy Birthday McMahon! I’d like to see a video presentation on the rules for using AI to improve one’s writing in the most constructive manner. Is this what’s in your book? I’m curious.
@JeffreyMcMahon2 ай бұрын
Yes, I wrote 10 Laws for writing in the age of AI. I'm struggling with the idea of putting the words into video presentations in a way that's entertaining.

English majors unite. Loved "The Wire" quote: "The job will not save you...a good case ends." Ten years ahead of you, (and congrats on the BDay), and my male biological clock rears it's ugly ticking. What else is new? Much love for the Tudor FXD line, specially the blue MN and the new GMT. Unaffordable at this time, so happy to have discovered Prevail Watches. I know, field watches not divers, but kinda unique look and the price is right. So there's that. As they say, keep writing.

What you’re talking about with AI, McMahon, is the result of people using it as a crutch, instead of as a tool. This glut of repetitive, AI-generated slop content will allow those with creative ideas to stand out more easily than ever.
@jeremyelliott98312 ай бұрын
Unfortunately the awful AI style will become normalized and standard. Then, creative, original writing will stick out as odd, identifying its abnormalities and unleashing the stones.
@catsteeth2 ай бұрын
Amen. The grey goo of AI. The end of what makes humanity special
@chi-towncalifornia59162 ай бұрын
@@jeremyelliott9831History works in cycles, and people are becoming more fickle for novelty. “Odd” is exactly what it takes to break the mold of repetitive AI slop. When we live in an attention economy, polarized thoughts on a work carries more value than blending in. We’re already seeing this with American visual media losing significant ground to Korean and Japanese visual media.
