If I ever am able to build another home, I definitely plan to have a drop down ironing board. Because we are retired, we don't have much ironing to do any more, so having a drop down to do a single tee shirt or pair of pants is what I need now. Hate getting the big board out now. However, I think we are in our final house before assisted living, so I think the best solution is simply never iron any more. What do you think of that idea? Have a happy week!

I have 5 cactus in 5 different pots throughout our home gifted to me over the years by my mom (the plant guru in our family.) All 5 plants manage to bloom at various times throughout the year/seasons which means we have blooms 12 months/year. What a blessing to continue my mom’s tradition of continually encouraging plants to thrive under her care!

Your orchids look so happy! I have one, which I put outside in May. It is blooming now, so it came back inside where I could enjoy it. This year in my garden, I planted a lot of zinnias. We had a stretch of hot (100 to 110 degree) weather for a couple of weeks, and the zinnias thrived! They are always so colorful and easy to grow, and they laugh at the hot weather.

Hi, Robin! We moved to this home in the country 14 years ago. Because we have a septic tank here, and our house sits at the lowest point in the middle of the property, I had to stop doing all of our laundry on one day. I can wash 2 loads a day. This was the hardest thing for me to get over!😆 It really disrupted my whole flow of housework. I am currently trying to find homes for all my houseplants. We use the ceiling fans all day in the summer, and the plants are suffering. I may just move them outside to a shaded part of my garden.
@FaithandFlour2 ай бұрын
I understand Dawn! I thought I would have to do that when we moved into this house because we also have a septic system, but fortunately our washer water goes out separately as “gray water”, so that the septic isn’t overwhelmed. I have also had to experiment a lot with plants that thrive here - I hope you’ll be able to find some too! Have a blessed week! 🌸💕

Hi Robin - I think your laundry room is going to be so great. I’ve never had stackable washer and dryer either but was interested to see how it all worked. And that breakfast looked delicious. Whipping cream seems to enhance a lot of things I’ll actually whip up whipping cream to put in my chicken salad. And of course you know I am the crazy plant lady who names all my plants. . Most of my plants survived the hurricane. One I’m having to Nurse back to life. Since the deck is all crashed in with the big tree that was on it and the roof Rachel moved all my plants right up by the back door where I could easily take care of them and she moved the hose up there too although it has not quit raining since the hurricane. It is really hampering everybody’s repairs. Many many people have a blue tarp on their roof including me. The insurance adjuster came last Monday morning and I’m just waiting to hear and they said I couldn’t do anything until I heard back from them. Rebecca and Rachel came back to town before I did and they cleaned my refrigerator and freezer out. Before the food got to stink. Such a mess in the whole area. We are finding it hard to believe that a category one did this much damage although we have heard that we had anywhere from 90 to 100 mile an hour winds. I got power and air-conditioning back a few days ago before I came back to town. But have just gotten Internet etc. back last night. There are two lines that run to my house. One that feeds the Internet and router etc. and the other that feeds the TVs. The one that feeds the TVs is laying on the ground out in the water but at least I can do everything on my iPad. You can’t believe how much you miss that when you live alone. We had lots of damages at the church too. We were not able to do Sunday school the last two Sundays but had worship today. Decisions will have to be made of what to do. We had 150 remediation fans blowing and the fire marshal came and said part of the church was OK to have services. I’m trying to be calm and have peace and just take it one step at a time. I had three doctors appointments last week one in Houston. not great reports but at least I do not have to see any of them for three months which is a blessing. Thanks for this fun video. Love in Christ
@FaithandFlour2 ай бұрын
Hi Donna! I’m so glad you are home and that the damage was only to your deck, but I know how hard it is to deal with repairs after a disaster like that. Rachel is so kind to help you with the plants. I hope Carmen Miranda is okay. 😉😄 You are handling everything so well. I hope all is back to normal soon and that the next report from the doctors is much better too. 🙏 Blessings to you my friend! 💕

@@FaithandFlour Thanks Robin. I guess I didn’t make it very clear but I do have a lot of roof damage and will have to have a new roof. They also found water leaks in several rooms with spots on the ceiling that were either caused from the roof or from blowing wind. There were other damages that he found also that I hadn’t even found. Yes Carmen Miranda looks good but Miss Betty the begonia is having to be nursed back to health and is in an ICU. Ha ha

Pam's POV did a video on what cleaners she likes and dislikes. I'm allergic to most synthetic fragrances so I use the least I can get by with and like Pam I like multiple use cleaning items. Our washer is a top load so we can't stack them. My long dresses and skirts sometimes unbalance the washing machine. I do most laundry once a week or as needed as I usually only have one sheet set per bed. The oatmeal looks delicious. Still don't have an income but will reapply for unemployment on Wednesday. My e-reader and selfie stick both broke. The stick broke in half. The e-reader got the white screen glitch and stopped loading the application. I will try the Boox Page and Boox Poke5 next. If they don't work, I will switch back to paper books. First I need a place for the three of us and a bookshelf. Having fun playing my daily phone games and started playing Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town.
