We're on our 6th Suburban! We tried a Traverse & Tahoe in the mix & did NOT like at all. Mom of 4 but they are all grown now which is why I tried downsizing to the other two vehicles (Traverse felt cheaply made with thin doors that shut like....*tink*...compared to Suburban. The Tahoe is essentially a Suburban only a shorter trunk space.....more like, NO trunk space...compared to a Suburban.) Went back to Suburban because now.... GRANDKIDS and they are so roomy for carseats and growing kids! <3 LOVE, Love, Love Suburbans!

Kids don’t like their foods to touch 😆. I was that way too as a kid!

Yes, that’s how I like to make my vision boards each year. I normally put in my planner, but I like the idea of framing one for my office. I need to do that!

Folks, not every slow-cooker recipe needs to include a can of "cream of something" soup or a glob of cream cheese. You can get crap like that at a fast food dump and for less money.

I’m on my second Yukon xl and I LOVE it! The back room is a must with all the baseball gear, chairs, and ice chest.

Amy you should go on a cruise maybe with your friends or even just take your daughter for part of her birthday present. Have a mother/daughter time together. Just a thought.

Can't go wrong with a Suburban !!! We have a 2006 Tahoe has almost 300K miles and she is still running and has original motor and transmission. The suburbans have excellent leg room, seats, ventilation/AC/heat, very comfortable, reliable and fashionable! I am NOT a Ford person so I say steer clear of the Expedition.

I have an 2023 expedition max limited it is great! I highly recommend it! I have 3 toddlers and it fits so much stuff!

We love our Volkswagen atlas, especially for the price.

We have an Escalade ESV (extended back), which is just the luxury model of the Suburban and we absolutely love it! Plus it can tow a boat which was a must for us. We have the captain chairs in the middle row so it’s easy for people to get to the third row.

Hi Amy! Great 2025 video! Love the Vision board! Plus your home gym is great! 💪🏻 I have the Ford Expedition XL (2017) and the trunk space (with the 3rd row up and being used) is very large. You would love it. I too went from a minivan and didn’t want to always have my 3rd row down to travel. The extended length is awesome. Plus the newer ones have a split trunk door to help with keeping things from rolling out. Hope that helps! Have a great week!

I have two babies and we are now outgrowing our Tahoe. I've loved it but it is time to move on! I am currently looking at an XL or Suburban, maybe Cadillac ESV if I can find a used one that is affordable. The trunk space is pretty much non existent unless the third row is folded down on the Tahoe but you would have no worries fitting anything in the XL or Suburban! Lots more room and super comfortable ride. Good luck car shopping!!

Hi Amy. I have a 2014 Yukon XL that I am still driving. Before that, I had a Chevy Suburban for 10 years. Both have been driven over 200k each. They both have amazing space for kids, sports equipment, traveling, large grocery hauls, etc. They are both heavy and safe, as well. We live in a rural area and they are good in the snow. My husband has hit two deer over the years (or let’s just say the deer hit him 🥴). There was some damage to the front end of our Yukon XL, but it was still drivable and he’s completely safe. However, there is one big difference for us…the Yukon XL has needed a lot of work. Every two years or so it seems we have had to put a lot of money into it to keep it going. Our Suburban was wonderful and only had one time over the 10 years that needed a good amount of repairs. So, out of the two options, I would recommend the Suburban. My son works for Toyota and would tell you to go that route with one of their larger SUV’s 😉 Good luck with your search!

I have the Expedition max and absolutely love it! I’m a busy mom of 5 ages 5-17 and we do a lot of sports. It is perfect for us. It can tow our camper while still being the ultimate amazing mom vehicle. I had the Honda odyssey before our expedition and loved it, but surprisingly I love the expedition more! Good luck with the car buying process! 🚙

I have a 2016 Honda pilot and it has a lot of room when back seats are down, I also had an odyssey and to me it’s really the same, I wouldn’t enjoy the gas mileage in a Yukon or the transmission problems, yes, they are beautiful and part of me almost wants one as well, but my friend has had so many problems out of hers and I can’t afford to not have a reliable vehicle . you can never go wrong with Honda ☺️

It's nice to have a complimentary car to your spouse. So if your family has a truck already you probably don't want a large SUV too. One of my girlfriends is petite like you and she looks ridiculous in her Yukon, we joke all the time about how she can't park it. Plus the gas mileage will be half of your odyssey. Consider a smaller SUV, maybe even a hybrid like a Forester. Or another option might be a sedan that you can give to your son in 3 or 4 years when he starts driving. I got an Accord XL hybrid for 2 years and we all actually liked it. Especially on trips! A 300 mile trip was only like $35! ❤

Wanted to let you know I am on my fourth year of the Bible recap I start over every January 1 and even after four years I’m still learning things and seeing things I’ve never seen before seems like. Hi Amy! I had a Yukon XL for 5 years and now that my kids are older just traded in for a Hyundai Palisade (which I love!) Pros of the Yukon XL: Mucho trunk space, never had to rent a truck if we picked up furniture - it all fits, all weather road conditions, comfortable road trips Cons: it’s a tank - measure your garage to see if it will actually fit, I had to park way down at Target or places with tight parking spots, gas is $$$, tires are super $$$ to replace. We actually had a theft attempt on the tires while at an airport. Bummer on that.

Expedition max!!! The Yukon etc don’t have a headrest for every passenger. I have 4 kids ages 3 to 10. I will never drive anything else as long as I have kids under my roof

Mom of 3 boys (18 away at college, 16 drives and 13) here. I had a 2023 Honda odyssey that we bought new last April and I loved it but realized the older the kids get the less we are all together in the car. I ended up selling it outright and purchased a 2020 Honda accord and absolutely love it!! ❤ We are also a sports family and a lot of football, travel baseball and track meets take place but the trunk is huge and I have never not had enough space! Even big Sam’s trips work in my car! And a benefit is it’s a hybrid, I went from getting 23 mpg’s to over 40 in my accord. Down side is car pooling.. but sometimes that’s a plus in my opinion 😆 god luck on the car hunt!! Can’t wait to see what you get!! ( sidenote I have also owned an expedition max and a Yukon XL and I absolutely loved them both and I thought I would never be able to go to a car after driving the big SUVs but I was wrong. I don’t know that I’ll ever go back to an SUV)
