🎉yay a van is soo much easier to live in! I'm frugal (broke) I sprayed reflectics w/glue and put heavy duty black trash bags on one side then black duck tape around the edges. I cut a big piece floor to ceiling for behind the seats (black on one side),cut it in half and fold each half behind each seat. At night I open the piece back up and velcro in the center. Sealing off the front keeps it stealth and warmer. May help with your set up ❤

I'm so excited for you Debra! I love car camping in my Rav4, but I do have dreams of getting a van at some point. That must have been terrifying seeing your battery smoking! Scary stuff. Good to have a community to turn to for help. I had an issue with a brand new Allpowers battery they sent me to do a review on this fall, but not smoke!! It just stopped working and charging. Left me stranded for power for a few days. It'll all come together in the end and you'll have a cozy little van home. I look forward to seeing how you put it all together!

The best solution I've seen so far for window covers is this coroplast plastic with the same color duck tape around the edges to pull it off and on. I have plans to make them myself. I’m very sorry to hear about your power struggle. I know how convenient a single unit is, when it works. For me, I’m using a LICITTI Battery Box. I bought a lithium battery for it and used the 175 amp plug to double the power reserve by spending less than $300 for a second battery and basic box. If one part fails, I don’t have to replace everything. I have also added a 2,200 watt inverter to the system. This easily powers a standard drip coffee maker. I pray that Ecoflow will step up and send you a replacement.

🎉CONGRATS on your NEW VAN! 🎉 I did an "L" shape from channel "Have Van will Travel" but opposite side, I wanted to get in & out from the driver's side. Used thick wood for the couch/bed frame so I could have a extra storage under the seat (couch) w/ a bottom, then also storage underneath. They did the slat bed/couch to pull out into a bed, but I don't have the tools so I just have the same size board as couch 1stacks on other & slide over into full bed w/ brace on side & add 1 leg (store under trifold mattresses) Move 1 mattresses over at night for other side of bed..stacked during day mode. 3 pieces altogether 2 sides & back (horizontal) hope that makes sense 😅 Ps I put a floor in at 1st but ended up taking it out bc it made couch/bed too high to sit up, just bed frame & back frame the screwed them together & just covered the floor up w/ thicker rug on the 1 side & ❤ it ... back lifts from inside & out to access storage Sorry so long 😅 Pss glad you're both ok!

You appear from this video to really not emotionally or financially prepared for the expected breakdowns and issues that nomads face when stuff breaks or fails. Ecoflow did everything they should do as a business. Send the product back and we do analysis and decide. You agree to those term when you buy it. It's important to have backups and be independent. You appear frazzled. Yes it sucks, but the technology is both amazing and subject to failure, you need to chill and work with the business without making unfair demands. You need to project plan better, emotionally, chill out and enjoy life. Ugggh. Good luck and learn. Stuff goes wrong and get back up plans in place. 😮
@nicktw8688Ай бұрын
On the contrary, most good companies take customer feedback very seriously. Even better if you're able to escalate the issue to upper management. It's one of the best ways for them to maintain quality control...but they never find out about it unless passionate customers take the time and effort to call/email their complaints. Anyway, hopefully she gets it sorted out.

So glad I found your channel! I used to watch another van lifer but she started going crazy talking about conspiracy theories and politics so I had to stop watching. I’ll be looking forward to your journey from now on 😊

I just happened to stumble on this particular channel. I usually watch a woman by the name Of just Rowan, she is wonderful and very uplifting, and really has her actor gather, where comes to living in a van.

Sounds like EcoFlow left you in a bad position. I've gotta say, I've had to deal with a few companies being unreliable lately and I'm cutting the wheat from the chaff. Gotta find the companies you can rely on and cut loose the ones you can't!

@kinjiru731 Absolutely. Ecoflow came through in the end.

Sounds like there is a bit of overwhelming disorganization. First, what did Wayne do to your Ecoflow? Did he screw up? 2. It sounds like you did not think things through. Was this van purchase done fast? sounds like Wayne burned up your Power station?

All the best to you in your new adventure! One small piece of advice: when you make your videos please look at us, not yourself. Which is to say, look directly at the lens of your device, not your own face on the screen (which is very natural to do!). It is very distracting to have a conversation with somebody who keeps looking away from you up to the side. (Watch one of your videos and you'll see.) No matter what happens, remember you are amazing and strong!

You need more redundancy in your electrical system if you're going to be living in a van full time. I have a Ford Transit connect as a side project and I have 3 battery systems, 3 inverters, and 2 charge controllers. You don't want to be without power, it always happens at the worst time.
@NorthofSomewhereNomadАй бұрын
@AscendedMaster11111 It sounds like you're super dialed in, that's awesome. I don't really need quite a sophisticated system like that, but a more robust setup that works for me is in the works.

New here….. I wanted to be able to make an encouraging comment, but the longer I watched this video, I began to feel very nervous for you. I felt badly that you were so frazzled. To begin with, you were not ready to move into your van. What ever your plan was, it wasn’t thought through. I don’t think it was wise to just be tossing your things in there to begin with? I guess I was hoping to watch you do things intelligently and slowly and very thoughtfully since you are experienced with living in a vehicle. I was very disappointed in what was shown, and I won’t be subscribing.
