What’s the hottest these transmissions can get? Just seen mine get up to 220F and cool down to 198F on a 100F day

Just wondering, are there any sensors this is going to set off by installing this? Also What happens when this part fails? will trans heat up or??
@Bobsgaragetech2 күн бұрын
No Transmission still gets to operating temperature. This just helps full time flow to the cooler..

@@Bobsgaragetech Why don't they have full time flow for the engine? Why the need for a thermostat at all? is there a delete for the engine thermostat?

Any idea if there's a setting for the Traverse to let you know when you're driving away from the transponder? My 2019 let me drive 2 hours away from home. I left it on when I went into a Buc-ees, but it cut off after 15 min. It wouldn't restart without the key fob!

That mobile one oil is no good for my 2018 traverse. I swapped them out to amsoil motor oil, and that rattle noise went away at every start-up. Starts up much quieter and smoother after I notice how cooked those mobile one motor oil was when I change them out and inspect the oil quality. They just look cooked and very watery which brings me to think that theres litterally no lubricity left in them to keep the engine well lubricated. Engines do get hot especially after you park them as theres no lubricity flowing when the engines are off. The quicker your engine cools down the better they are at not wearing engine components prematurely.

Another useful tip: The buttons on the corner right of the front of the camera allow you to zoom into the shot, helping you determine whether are noticeable shakes or not.

If you are just taking a general picture (no special effects), don't waste time on manual mode. Just use auto, quickly capture it, and make sure it doesn't mess up horribly (such as over or underexposure). These small nuances can be easily corrected by editing softwares, but it saves you time when you are actually at the scene.

Great video, just got both and looking forward to installing! One question I have is, will the Derringer need to be uninstalled in order to pass inspection? I had a Pulsar LT on my '20 GMC 1500 and I had to take that off prior to inspection, so curious if this is the same deal. Thanks!!

So here is another one I just discovered on my 21 Yukon Denali for keeping the cameras on. While in D, driving > 8mph, select neutral, open Camera, select the blind spot(side view), shift back into D, drive with cameras on always. You can flip through the other cameras as well just like when you're reversing or parking. I think it bypasses a check the vehicle does for > 8mph speed as you accelerate. Ofcourse, if you ever go back below that, say turning or traffic light, you'll have to do this process again. Hope it helps someone!

Have you done your transmission fluid ?
@mrvang807712 күн бұрын
I've done my transmission fluid change on my 2018 Traverse at 87,000 miles on it. It's quite simple and easy. Same as doing an oil change. Transmission fluid takes 10 quartz. 5 quartz drained out and the first 5 quartz back in then drive for 300 miles and do the second drain. 5 quartz out and the last 5 quartz in. Don't forget to run the engine and shift through all the gears a couple times between each drain and fill while the engine is running.

I saw you link this video on Reddit and finally bit the bullet to try to find a solution to the dreaded "Return to Dealer" error message that plagued me for years. I was able to perform the replacement on my 2014 in about 1 hour with the caveat that I broke the two exterior screw housings when I made the final yank of the housing off the rear of the car. I am still not sure how you were able to remove the housing so cleanly but I am still incredibly happy with the improvement.

I’m a little confused. I know all about throttle controllers and will be switching all my pedal commanders to the Banks and just use the app to change settings on the banks. Why do i want that Derringer thing up there-it seems like pretty basic info that most cars have especially cars that ppl would put the throttle control on, i keep hearing you say “tune” and in the comments “tune” but this isn’t a tuner really right? The throttle control just dies response but that derringer just seems to read what’s on your gauges or in your screens right? I own 3 Hellcat vehicles and my daughters Kia they have all those derringer readouts. Is there something I’m missing with everyone saying “tune” are you saying tune for the throttle control or is there some kind of tuning going on for something else?
@Bobsgaragetech2 ай бұрын
@meatball6930 The derringer has 5 power levels that is a on demand “tune” the idash is separate for reading different PIDs and controlling the 5 settings on the derringer.. at the end I should have done a full reviews of each power setting on the derringer and pedal monster separately. I apologize for the confusion. Thanks for watching!
