Thank you for reviewing this puzzle board. Although I certainly see where this would suit some puzzlers, it looks too fragile for me. I work my puzzles on a 1960s Samsonite card table that has an ivory vinyl top. I may be an outlier here but I didn't care for the music playing in the background of this video competing with your lovely voice.

Puzzle boards tend to vary in quality and price and some of these puzzle boards/tables can be very expensive. I've never wanted to bother with the type that you reviewed. I do all my puzzles flat on the table and I have space to put my trays of pieces without them getting in the way. Look forward to your next video.

Here in Germany Ravensburger is THE Go-to brand, which is why my collection started with Ravensburger Puzzles. But after trying different brands like Bluebird and Schmidt, Ravensburger is lacking in some areas. The fit is very loose, the glare can be quite bad, especially with darker puzzles and the amount puzzle dust is insane! My favorite experience so far has been a Randal Sprangler puzzle by bluebird

Because I got this to do with my children… my son & I are usually really good at them, but we also ended up changing it from similar colors to similar sizes… this video helped a lot because yesss tooo much darks & starting out some of the pieces were able to go in different spots which threw us so off! I would be worried that it might collapse once I got more than halfway through the puzzle.

I recently got the Ravensburger puzzle board, I wanted to get a tilted board to prevent back- and neck pain from leaning over the table the whole time, and though the quality is great I am still not sure how to use this most conveniently. Usually I do a full flip of the pieces and then work in little sections, so I have a lot of small 'islands' of puzzle and then when I have enough I slide them to the correct place and click them together. With the board it is more difficult to slide, plus it takes up so much more space on the table now, because I have all the flipped pieces + the board, where first I was just puzzling in the middle of the flipped pieces. Its interesting to see how people use the puzzle tables and boards, this particular brand board would be to flimsy for me, and for that price I would want something more sturdy. I would expect a 'build it with tubes' board to cost 20,- not 50,-. I like that the Ravensburger is very stirdy, its wood with a sort of blue velvet lining, very pretty. (And I bought it at a Ravensburger Outlet so I paid 60,- euro's which is still not very cheap but also not too bad I think.)

Looks like more trouble than any cost.no thanks

How does the size compare to the original Sunix mat? I bought the Sunix about a month ago and like it pretty well. I've got it set up on a folding table in my study, which allows me to spin it around as needed to get to all parts of the puzzle. Frankly the only thing about it I'm not thrilled about is that it only comes with 4 bracket-thingies, rather than the 6 in this new iteration. (If you know how I could contact them to get two more bracket-thingies, I'd be grateful.)

Barnes & Noble sells only high end puzzles and has the largest selection of any physical store. You had the same mindset as I did going in looking at Gallison puzzles first (coming off TJ max/Marshalls), only to discover so many aweseme brands. I only wish it was more affordable. Ravensburger is a great brand as well. I own 2 Schmidt and many Ravensburger puzzles close to 15 puzzles.

I'm with you 100%....if someone doesn't like your wording, stuff 'em. I made one video about 22 Tips on How to a Spot Romance Scammer from a Mile Away and I had out of 14000 views (my highest ever yet), i had like 8 dislikes. Guarantee they were from scammers themselves or ppl who can come across as scammers. Once I began to mention.....watch what your potential partner is like when alcohol is involved and if abusive, run.....I am sure this didn't go down too well with alcoholics watching my video. I made another video about Submissive women and how men think they want one and I said no, we don't, cos otherwise the woman is a doormat and if a man wants a doormat, to grow up....again, guarantee someone would have been peeved at what I said, yet I don't care. I've worked with narcissists and ppl addicted on ICE to all sorts of issues.....and I tell them straight. No fluff. They don't have to like what I tell them. I'm not in their face about it yet I do tell things directly to their face. It's also started happening at work where these Woke ppl will listen in, not like what they hear, and go dob us into management. My comeback if it ever happens....Manager: Ernie did you say X? Me: mate, I don't remember yesterday let alone 3 weeks ago. Possible yet improbable. Has she/they got any proof cos if not, I'm happy to take them to court for defamation of character, etc. That shuts the whole conversation quick smart. Tired of these sorts of ppl. Tell them to get over it. I had one person comment on one of my videos....I hate animated videos. I just ignored them.... no use arguing with an idiot, as they say.

I just found this brand at Dollar Tree for $3. Thin as the pieces were they do stay together. I would buy again. Nice to see what you think.

I saw this brand at Target today and wondered why it was so heavy. Also the price was $22.99. Skip the velcro and such and charge less. For that price they need to stay together.

I know how you feel about what people say about having too many puzzles. I have a lot too and it's the only way to keep my mind off of everything that is going on around me. Sometimes I put myself in the picture of the puzzles just like when you read a book and it helps me cope with things and Ive been doing puzzles since I was 5 years old and I have done so many different kinds of puzzles in my life and I will keep doing them because they make me feel better

Hi Mandy, A great video on two huge puzzle brands. We love the selection Ravensburger has but hate the dust and the loose and wobbly fit (especially in the most recent puzzles). It’s interesting because we bought a 500 Ravensburger in an Op shop (thrift store) from 1991. There was no puzzle dust and a tight fit to boot. Schmidt’s quality is superior and doesn’t have the wobbliness that Ravensburger has. Our vote overall is with Schmidt. Thank you for such a great video and your hard work in giving us heaps of help (and laughs) on this puzzle journey. Warm wishes from us two in Oz. M+C😎😄

The biggest puzzle I’ve ever done is the Karen puzzles Puzzles on Puzzles 3000 piece puzzle and it took me 2 months with my mom, boyfriend and sister all working on it sporadically we just finished it on Memorial Day this year 😄

Thank you for the review, never heard of Schmidt Puzzles, but I’m in Australia. But I love reviews on brands. I’ve brought other brands other than Ravensburger before and have been disappointed with the quality. The pieces sometimes were soft, or they fitted too loosely. If I see a Schmidt puzzle I’ll have to try it. It’s great to see that I’m not the only one that tries picking up the puzzle by the corners and sorts the last pieces by shape.

Puzzles are getting too expensive. Trying to find deals. Have a nice day.

Hi Mandy! loved this video and the details you give. I see you have been "Schmidtten" on Schmidt I have to try this brand! oh yes! and KI is an A1 company. To try this brand I did the Cook Mountain puzzle , such a fun, colorful and great fit, loved it.

I have never worked a Schmidt puzzle. You did great! Now I am intrigued. I will have to budget more puzzle money, but it looks like a quality purchase.

I have a little over 300 puzzles currently with many, many Ravensburgers but not one Schmidt. After watching your video, I went to Amazon and looked up Schmidt Puzzles. All that I saw were over $30 so much more expensive than Ravensburger. Kind of surprising but if I found an image I absolutely love, I’d go ahead and splurge. Great video!!

I Agree!!! I love my Schmidt puzzle. But my puzzle collection is more than 50% Ravensburger. I wish I could get Schmidt puzzles as easily as I can get Ravensburger sets.

I've never done a Schmidt puzzle, I think I have one in my collection, so I definitely gone have to try. I like Ravensburger, never had a problem with it, but gonna look them more closely.

Smiles, or (teehee) face cramps are what the ultimate puzzling experience leaves you with! They are uncommon because I am quite picky. My last one was an ENJOY Kandinsky puzzle. I found myself smiling...and smiling...and smiling!!! I have never done a Schmidt puzzle because I have never found an image, plus not easy to get many different images in the US. I love their piece thickness, so I will try harder in gettinga Schmidt! Loved your review, Mandy! Good job!!!

Hinkler has had a bunch of releases at 5Below. Their puzzle cut and images are on different wavelengths. The Reddit jigsaw puzzle community has a ton of examples where the image just doesn’t work with how similar the piece shapes are.

Hey lady. Like you Schmidt is a higher quality but Ravensburger for me has a good hold ss you can usually pick it up completed. They held up a 52000 pc one at worlds and it held up on a pick up but started coming apart as the size and height of people....they are both worth the $, and are my top 2 quality. ❤❤
