During the pursuit to solve my issues with puzzling on the floor, I was lucky enough to be contacted by the company Vevor, and they asked me to review a couple of their items. One of the products they sent me just so happened to be a table I was looking into, and I was excited to see whether it would solve the back and leg issues I'd get whilst puzzling. I was also happy that they sent me a very large puzzle board to test out.

It is like a pool table! I agree about the color. I would cut another piece of fabric and stick it on top. Maybe have a couple different colors cut to use depending on the colors in your puzzle. I use a very smooth dark green flannel that is easy on the eyes but have a neutral color like unbleached muslin for the dark green puzzles!

That's a good idea. I didn't think about getting different cuts of fabric. I need to figure out the material on my first puzzle table, as that is my favorite.

Mandy! I know exactly what you have been going through and having back problems most of life have forced me to make some interesting decisions. I bought a proper wooden dining table and raised the 4 legs with large wooden blocks, now the table is just under my chest in height, just like a proper bar table (another option you may consider!) and I do my puzzles standing or sitting on a big bar stool. I love my setting it feels great and I never need to lean. Maybe you could consider a high table too? Just an idea!

Thanks for the idea Ric! A higher table sounds like a great idea, especially for us back pain sufferers. Leaning really takes a toll after a short while. Currently, I've been using the tall table from this video, but placing my usual favorite table on top of that to give me a couple more inches in height. So far it seems to be working out ok, but we shall see!

It's great that they sent you free puzzle tables. That's always my favorite price! But for me, I need a table that rotates so that both vertical and horizontal puzzles can be assembled more easily. I really like my Bits "n Pieces puzzle easel. It does need to be on a table, but it rotates, has a tan felt surface, and it's made from hardwood that's been stained and varnished, so it's very high quality. It also has 5 or 6 angles to choose from, so I can get the perfect tilt. Glad you found a way to get up off the floor! It's an upgrade, for sure.

Honestly, I'd love a rotating table as well. I hate when I have to figure out how I'm going to go about completing and filming my vertical puzzles, it's tough. I've heard a number of real good things about Bits and Pieces puzzle easels. I'm going to have to look more into it, especially if it rotates. But like you said, what I received is a great upgrade from the floor LOL.

@@thepuzzledmandy I thought it was very creative when you put the rotating puzzle board on top of your puzzle table. Genius! Too bad it didn't actually work out for you, but it was worth a shot.

Interesting to hear your views on puzzle tables. There seems to be a variety of types to choose from. Fortunately I don't have that problem as I do all my puzzles on my dining table which is big enough for my needs. Too old to get down to floor level now. I use foam boards which as you know are light to carry about. Everyone has their own way of doing puzzles and whatever works is right for them. There is no right or wrong way to indulge in your hobby of jigsaw puzzling. Hopefully you can strengthen the legs of the Vevor table so you don't have to worry about it collapsing at the wrong time. Look forward to your next video.

Oh boy, I thought the table would collapse on me when I tried to put the board on top of it 😂I couldn't help but experiment with different scenarios. It is definitely a case of whatever works best for you. Everyone's work space is different.

Thank you for reviewing this Vevor puzzle table. I've seen it before but it makes a huge difference to have a true puzzle lover such as yourself show us the features. At the moment, I am using a vintage (1960s) large square Samsonite card table which is covered with an off-white vinyl top for my dedicated puzzle table. I have room enough to leave it up. Although I have the Samsonite chairs that match it, I am using a kitchen table chair with a nice padded seat. What I like about the Vevor table is those sorting tray drawers. Very nice.

A friend of mine gave me a puzzle board and I love it, but not as a stand alone table. I have a small table, like a larger sturdier tv tray that I got from Costco. I put my foam boards on it and it works well. Now I put that board on top of the table first than my foam boards. The good thing abt the board is one side is open so you can slide the puzzle off the table, but I like to leave the puzzle together when I start a new one. I like to look at it for a couple of days before I break it down. And I just recently started doing more than one puzzle at a time. I started a 1500 pc puzzle, but it's going to take me a while and I like doing smaller ones when I dont have a lot of time . I also like to do puzzle challenges. So I have the 1500pc puzzle on a big foam board on the puzzle board. I have a 1000pc puzzle of Italy going for my travel series. Then I also have a 750pc cat in hot air balloons going for a puzzle challenge by The Casual Puzzler. Honestly three at one time is too many. Once I finish the hot air balloons, I will work a little more on the 1500 then go back to the 1000 Italy. There is a movie called Enchanted April where these four English women rent an italian villa for a month. There is a small staff of 3 who cook and clean. The women nap, paint, nap some more, walk the grounds, sit by the seaside, and then nap. Can you imagine working a puzzle while looking at the sea?!!?! Ok now I'm rambling. Love your channel. 😁

I also love to look at my puzzle for a few days after finishing. It's very rare that I take it apart right away. But in terms of doing more than one puzzle at a time, I realize I just can't handle it. I almost feel like I'd get more progress if I just focus and put all my attention into one. You currently have a ton going on! Good luck! I'd take puzzling while looking at the sea any day! Sounds so serene. I would never want to come back to reality 😂

Thank you for this review. Most of the time I use the Ravensburger ''Stand and Go'' puzzle stand with the Tidyboss sorting trays. It's for horizontal 1000 pieces puzzles, angled and non-slip. I just purchased the Playboda 1500 pieces rotating puzzle board. It's sturdy plastic and half the weight of a wooden puzzle board.

I got a basic plain table from a thrift store and put my short puzzle table on it, but simply left the puzzle table's legs folded closed, allowing it to be at a usable height while letting me use it's surface that was made for puzzles with it's texture and tilt ability. I then did this same concept again but on a basic plastic folding table with legs that had an adjustable height. So to just put my boards or short tables on normal tables works for me. However, a normal table doesn't have an easy way to move aside if I happen to want to put my puzzle set-up away temporarily.

That reminds me about how in the beginning, I used to fold up the short legs on my original puzzle table and place it on top of my couch ottoman. There are so many great ways to make your puzzle space work for you.

I love that you got a puzzle table for the right price!! When you store it, can there be a puzzle in progress in it or would the puzzle just fall apart? I have a card table that I have a big “envelope” that I can close up while not working on the puzzle. It’s made where I can store it behind or under a couch, etc. with a puzzle securely strapped in. I like it but I would prefer something that tilts. Thank goodness you are off the floor! Your poor back and legs thank you!!!!
@thepuzzledmandy
@thepuzzledmandy 4 ай бұрын
You can probably store it with a puzzle in progress if you're planning to store it laying flat. But you'd have to be pretty careful maneuvering the board so that you don't have a catastrophe. And that would be tough considering the weight of these surfaces. You'd need some help. The cover really doesn't keep it tight down either so you risk it sliding off, especially for the board.

Great review of the puzzle table. If I had the space I would get one, but I seem to do ok with the dining table ( we never use it for meals, so it works ok). I do have an issue with lack of light. I am in Phoenix and soon it will be over 100 degrees basically every day -for months so opening the curtains will not work out. Do you or anyone else here have any ideas for a task light. I am going to get that magnified scooper you showed during your Christmas haul..it looks really neat.

I used to use my dining table in the past, and it was great. I just had to make sure I was done puzzling before we had guests over or parties. As for lighting, you can pick up LED lamps that you can adjust the brightness on, and that can even clamp on your table. I have mostly found them from online shops like Amazon. I wish I can put web links here, but KZbin will most likely delete the comment.

I have this puzzle board and I love it. I have a large island in my kitchen and I keep this on the one side and only move it if I'm getting company. I like to stand up when I puzzle and this is perfect for me. Couldn't you put the board on the table with it laying flat? Love your videos. Keep up the good info. Thanks

I did try putting the board on the table, but with the legs being weak, I was afraid there would be a catastrophe. Table was not at all steady. I may try it again after I reinforce the supports a bit more.

The look on your face when you sat down on your chair and moved tothe table.....like a kid with a new toy lol. You looked so cute and funny. I think green is a goid colour....just need to get used to it. Was going to suggest glue and you beat me to it 😀 Have u thought of maybe, if the legs are big enuf, to add wheels with brakes, like on your swivel chair....make it heaps easier to move 😀 I did that to a mega heavy coffee table i bought and what a difference wheels made. Lovely table btw...looks really neat and cool 😀

😂I did feel like a kid with a new toy! The green didn't seem so intense when i was looking at it online, but in person it did feel like a bit of a shock to my eyes. But yea, I think I just need to get used to it. Wheels with locks would be a good idea, as I keep having to lift this table slightly whenever I need to move it over. Gets a bit tiring after awhile.

@@thepuzzledmandy Just imagine you are playing Snooker Jigsaw when using the table. You can use your fingernails as the Cue for the pieces lol I am sure you can buy castor wheels for pretty cheap in your local hardware for pretty cheap and if hubby or someone you know is a handyman, they could add the wheels on for you. I'm sure they would come in mega handy for you, especially if you get back pain :-)

How to attach lazy Susan without nails blocking the pullout drawers
@thepuzzledmandy

This didn't come with nails. Even though the lazy susan has holes for nails, it doesn't get nailed in. It has little rubber grips that stick to the lazy susan so that the table doesn't slide off.
