Great to see you back doing videos! I understand - can't imagine working 6 days a week plus these videos plus your family etc. Very busy! I enjoyed this video. Best of luck with the big puzzle finish. One thing I want to say is that you don't have to do a big puzzle every time you reach a new level of subscriptions as in a 4k puzzle when you reach 4k subscribers. I know other puzzlers have done that, but everyone's circumstances are different. Those people doing the big puzzles tend to not have a full time job. So, you choose to do whatever you want to do, and we'll enjoy that. You could even event a new way to celebrate the next level of subscribers. Or not at all. Just have fun!

Here’s how I decide which puzzle to do. I write the names on slips of paper. I put the slips in a little wooden box. When I finish a puzzle, I pick a slip out of the box, without peeking. This makes picking the next puzzle a little bit of fun.

It really is tough at times, and it never slows down long enough for you to catch up. But we can only do our best and prioritize what is most important at the end of the day. The good thing about the advent calendar is that not every puzzle has the same cut. There is variety! Plus the images fill up a lot of the puzzle and not just the centre. Nice one!

Good seeing yo!!! Yes life does get in the way of our puzzling. I have a 1500 pc puzzle that has been on my puzzle table for months. I dont always have the brain to work on it so I put a piece of foam board on top of it and work a smaller puzzle. Easier to do when I dont have a channel to keep up, but it might be a thought. Heading into this time of year can be extremely busy so make sure to pace yourself!!!!

I'm gonna do my absolute best to pace myself. I do kind of have a love hate relationship with the holiday season 😅I love the festivities, but the craze of getting so much done drives me a bit crazy. Try blue painters tape on the back! Cheaper than sheets and you can control section size to efficiently fill the puzzle box.

My husband bought a Eurographics advent calendar this year. I can't wait for Dec 1st to start it. I also have done a Red Barn puzzle. It was a 500 piece gradient flower image, and the pieces were thinner then I'm used to, but the image was fine.

Congrats on completing your first 3K!! I almost did my 3k Karen puzzles for this challenge, but I'm glad I stuck with the Disney tradition. I think that's what helped motivate me to finish it.

I do a lot of larger piece count puzzles. Largest I have completed is 6K. That 3k you are working on is crazy difficult. I would not even attempt it. So don't be so hard on yourself. It's amazing you actually completed it. I would have given up. Very impressed.

Mandy, when you reach 5K subscribers. You can do five 1K puzzles and show them together. You kill 2 birds with one stone. Get your fill of fun with a variety of puzzles and do 5 thousand pieces.

I have my next set of large puzzles ready to go, but I don't know when I'll get around to them. I do know the feeling of wanting to move on despite not being done yet. This is the main reason why I haven't started another large puzzle. That and I have a ton of puzzles waiting to be done. I was looking at my totals and noticed I have done fewer puzzles this year, over 20, but I have a higher piece count because of the larger puzzles. So there is that at least.

If you've done a lot of much bigger puzzles, then I'm sure you still made it big in terms of how much was actually completed. I'm happy to say now that I've finally finished it, and the feeling is glorious!!!

Great puzzles Mandy. Yeah, i know re work takes up too much time hence why I'm back to the 3-4 hrs sleep a night and cos we are short staffed at work, theyre making us work even harder, which sux. Plus you have a family....dont know how you do it, sometimes. Luckily I had time tonight to finish off making 2 videos and several more ppl have been approaching me re collabs, which is nice...some takers and others not, which is fine. Im waiting for the day when you see a puzzle called Mandys Mansions and it has all your houses on it....... it'd probably have to be a 5,000-piece puzzle though...... Keeping this short as 4.30am and need to get up at 9am to go to work........I have 5 days off starting Thursday and gawd, i can't wait, and 2 weeks' holidays in early December........ 🙂 Short msg this time.......me is da stuffed.....need sleeeeeeeeeeeeeep. I heard tonight that Eastern US has been hacked and shops, food stores etc don't have food, cos deliveries are all off due to a cyber attack.....are you ok your side?

You're such a busy body Ernie. Hope you don't have to deal with so much work when you're finally with your lady. It sucks when work takes away so much family time, but I do my best to balance it all. It is really hard sometimes though. But at the end of the day, we gotta do what we gotta do and make the best of it. As for the hacking, I haven't heard about any of that so I guess that means we are doing good. I gotta keep track with the news more LOL.

@@thepuzzledmandy Oh Mandy, if you only knew how busy I am going to be once I move. What I am doing now is only prep work lol......between learning Aikido, Krav Maga, Yoga, and Zumba, and with our Granddaughter, continuing with the business, learning how to drive over there, learning more the language, travelling, and a whole list of other things, I think my head will be able to do a full 360 once I'm settled....giving that 6 months to a year, minimum. Then buying a house, all new furniture, car etc etc etc......what the hell is boredom? lol Yeah, can be very hard to find the balance.....yeah persist oh Young One, persist :-) You can always count on an Aussie for American news...we hear it before you folks do LOL. Talking about news.....was at work and short break. TV in the meal room was on silent and the next thing we see is that we are on Strike as from Thursday to Sunday. Heard it on the news and being home now, still havent received an email from the Union about it or anyone, not even management. Luckily, and talk about fortuitous....i have 5 days off (rostered)...Thursday to Monday, so i dont lose any pay, thankfully. Just an idea....to help re balance, next time you go to $ General, ask the cashier which aisle for a 2nd husband as you want one on either side of you when you walk down the street and to help with housework...and just see their reaction, and walk out pissing yourself laughing. Watched a video the other day between British and US humour and it was very true. Mine is full of playfulness and sarcasm.....yet you are half way there cos hubby is from the UK...maybe why you out of few Americans get my humour :) Ok, me need to go now.......and do some stuff other than talk so much :-) Cheerio :-)

You picked a very difficult image for your 3000 piece puzzle so I completely understand your frustration. I am currently working on Ravensburger 5000 piece Pokemon puzzle which is a way easier image. For me personally, life is too short to do a puzzle with low quality (even if cheap).

I for sure had a lot of frustrating moments with that 3K, but I'm so happy that it's finally over now. I know at some point I'm going to attempt my first 5K, and I'm already scared 😅 Good luck with your Pokemon puzzle! I don't mind trying out the cheap puzzles every now and then, as I find it interesting testing them out and seeing what possible good ones you can get for the price.

Definitely gonna check out those DG offerings. But it looks like the box doesn't have the usual lift-off top. I use both the top and bottom of the boxes as sorting trays, and I can't do that with those. I'm also hoping to get a puzzle advent calendar this year, just haven't picked which one yet.

These boxes are not the usual lift-off tops and are a bit flimsy, but then again, expected for a cheap price. I'm looking forward to trying them out though. I hope they are decent. As for the advent calendars, this is only the second one that I'll end up trying. Never used to consider getting them until last year. They are so fun.

Personally, I find box cutters to be more dangerous than scissors.

With my scissors being so dull, I would be more prone to hurting myself with them because I would use too much beastly force at time to make it cut. These new blades help me get the job done a lot quicker. I just have to remember to always pull the blade back.

It super challenging trying to figure out how to go about completing such a large image when you don't really have the space. I'll be going over how I came about that in my 3K video, but it was a bit of a process since my current tables aren't big enough either.
