With so many rooms, do you think it's possible that the original plan was to put all their favored people together in there and starve the rest of the country to death while partying? That movie Sophia did really depicted Marie as oblivious and scapegoated which I do believe because women didn't have knowledge of things men were really doing and all her time was spent keeping up appearances.
