Looks like Marine was playing on a slightly older version of 0.7. Pekora streamed the game two hours after her, and her version of the game spelled Marine's name correctly.

Yeah, 生 is one of those kanji with an ungodly number of readings. Shou and sei are both valid readings.

A lot of them probably live in SEA and Taiwan, so yeah, chances are there're some that can speak and write in Mandarin and Cantonese. Probably even Kay Yu, given that 'Yu' is a Cantonese(?) family name.
